Dec 19th 2008 Range Fun with a Mossberg 88 Security

Looks like you're high and to the left unless you're trying for a head shot then you're just to the left. I woke up yesterday morning and got myself a gun, Mossberg 88. I'ma be going to the range to see how it handles and to get my aim on point.

This is the shot gun I am gonna purchase.. I have a couple hunting shot guns.. but I want a simple, cheap pump shot for around the house..

I seen this one for around $205

based on the vids I seen it shoots pretty decent.. I dont really need any more than that..

I love the shit eatin grin right before you shoot its funny as hell..

For the price, its totally worth it, compatible with Mossberg 590 stocks and such.. Its fun though, totally worth the investment.

WOOHOO! Bought the Mossberg "maverick" 88 yesterday.. Gotta clean it then off to the range..

I am gonna mod it up a lil bit... Cosmetic only haha for now..

I was suprised that it came with a Pistol grip in the box with it

came with the pistol grip, prefer the stock, but I stole the speed stock from my little brother's 590, then the sling I had around here from one of my other rifles.

My Moss 88 shot well it will be a bit before I mod mine up.. the extra cash I use to have isnt around at the moment..

that looks like fun lol. im actually going out tomorrow to get an 88 or a moss 500, or maybe an 870, or even a parder. for basic home defense it seems those are all decent. however, i expect to have a lot of fun at the range.

500's and 590's are the way to go, especially for the accessories.. 870's are good as well.. but Remingtons are becoming an old model to purchase.. 88's are great for the money and the most basic home and field applications.. but Id go mid way, pay an extra 300 or so and get a 590 Special Purpose.. I got one for my little brother for his Bday, he absolutely loves it.. Reliable, Accurate, Large Magazine Tube, smooth feeding, and Surprisingly accurate.. good luck with your purchase

I agree with Maloney on the 590 but... I'll tell ya.. there is barely any difference between the 88 and 500.. they use the same mods.. and the 88 is a bargain for the money.. I got mine for like $250 out the door.. and it holds 8 rounds of 2 3/4 and 6 of the 3inch magnums.. you can see me firing mine with the pistol grip as a response to this video above.. Goodluck with whatever choice you made..
