when people argue, its about bone stock cars racing. when its all aftermarket, then its the better car builder that wins, obviously the mustang in this case. in the case of bone stock, there is only one mustang that could beat a ws6 in that generation, that was the terminator. even then it came out after the firebird stopped production. not much of a real match up. when that generation of firebird was around, it dominated the muscle car industry. when it died it was mustangs turn.
