hey CTU .. Im looking forward to seeing you in court soon for enrolling me in classes and taking out a loan for me after I repeatedly said I wasnt interested.
News Weekly has broken the news about Career Education Corporation which owns Colorado Technical University.
CTU is losing it's accreditation and schools are closing. Click my channel and to the far left under "Career Education Corporation Losing Accreditation" or Google search "Career Education Directors Sued Over Placement - BusinessWeek"
Get out of CTU before the schools close and you lose your money.
Career Education Corp. has closed many schools before.
Politics and education is a spoiler of a combination. A great number of traditional colleges and universities have satellite locations. Some if not all offer online classes and full online degree programs. Either way a student decide to attend he or she will have to pay out of pocket. Students aren't promised anything when getting degrees anywhere and shouldn't be. CTU is very much a good school to attend there is nothing to be proven.
What job applications are you referring to? For the record I have filled out hundreds of job applications in the last year. I have seen not one indication of these so called "codes" you speak of. In fact the HR people I have talked to do not make a difference between schools per se. They recognize CTU as an accredited institution. Oh by the way, thats why I am now pursuing a MASTER'S degree from a well regarded institution- they recognize the degree. Your argument then is what???????
... (continued) Online education has been misunderstood b/c it's still "new" compared to traditional education. But, it compliments brick & mortar education. And now even Ivy League has gone virtual. Truth is, there definitely ARE scam artists & diploma mills out there, just like anything, someone will try to take advantage. Do your due diligence when exploring education options, and pick whatever is right for you. Online is right for me, and I'm actually considering CTU for my MBA.
I have a good friend who attends CTU and loves it, and I attent American InterContinental University (AIU), a sister school of CTU, and I can tell you the curriculum is challenging, and you have to be disciplined to do it. But, it can pay off. The structure is absolutely perfect for me. I'm a working professional, and have commitments at home and outside the office, so the idea of working all day & driving to a college campus for several hours at night just isn't feasible for me. ...
Your friend must be on crack. This school sucks ass. The instructors are supposed to grade your assignments 72 hours after they are due. THEY DON'T! They will put the letter grade of F and in the comment field, they will write that your paper will be graded shortly. WTF is that all about? We have to bust our asses getting the assignments in on time and have to wait forever for them to be graded? BULLSHIT!
Hmm lets see two guys apply for a job. One has the self discipline to work a full time job, has a family and turns in assignments online that would turn one's mind to jello, graduating with a Summa Cum Laude, and the other guy goes to a brick and mortar college, parties all day and night and barely scrapes by with a degree. As an employer, I would want someone who has self discipline and focus to get the job done, and not one who I have to worry about being at work after a night of partying.
dream on brother .. dream on... graduating from an accredited school no matter how much you party for outweighs going to a diploma mill to get your degree...good luck though ...I see resumes every day and can tell you me and my colleagues dont even look at online degrees candidates.. never will either.
Like I said fly, I suppose Harvard, Notre Dame, USC, UCLA, Johns Hopkins and UNC are all "diploma mills" too. Problem is they all have online programs. Who then is right in this equation- you or them?
I also have a message for those who think online education is a joke. Several universities including George Washington University and Gonzaga University offer online programs. I suppose those universities are jokes too?
This is a message for everyone who is trying to go to an online school: School will change directions and everyone will have to take at least one course online. Now, for those who like to talk bad about Online education, just leave people alone, let them do what they want to do and dont scare new and brilliants talents.
hmmm,, lets see,,, two guys are applying for a job. One guy went to a real school and had to go through the daily grind which that entails, the other guy sat around in his underwear and never took a test and still got a degree,, who do you think is getting the job? what a joke online schooling,, thats hilarious..
I like how all the people posting comments that make the school sound so good are saying the exact same thing word for word that the advisors that keep calling my fun all hours of the day... what a scam...
Yeah, well from looking at your profile, you're one to know all about sitting in your underwear at home you fucking perv! Clearly it shows your a scum bag and so is whatever company you claim you work for, if you really work at all! Probably the low life loser stoner living in his mommy's basement talking smack because he can't make his own life go any where!
You don't seem to have an issue being on here all the damn time just waiting to reply back to something someone else has said, here you go again, click the refresh button again bitch and read my post!
I love CTU online and I like the fact that it is available 24 hrs a day. I also like the fact the live classes are recorded, so that If I can't attend the class live I can go back and listen at my own convenience and as many times as I want. Searching CTU online library is a little challenging at times, but overall, great online school and is highly recommended.
I attended CTU and the experience was tough but rewarding. I wonder if the Master Degree in IT department have planned to create additionals minors in web development, e-commerce or health informatics.
Excellent school which enables both a great learning atmosphere and excellent way to network at the same time. If you think on-line learning environments are a poor place to go to school, you have not been to CTU On-line.
