  • You're a cutie ;)

  • No this is wrong! What you've done is simply created a mirror image of each separate side of your face, that's not your "true image", because it creates a symmetrical version of your face. You should have put the two separate (flipped) images of each side of your face back together (basically flipping the whole original picture) then you would have got an accurate view of your "true face".

  • @ShizaProblem Did you watch the whole thing?

  • im so confused.. In a mirror I look fine.. When I take pictures.. My face is so slanted and wonky, Liek lips slanted, Nose slanted, One eye is higher.. Face looks like it scares small children... But in mirror it looks fine.. Ive asked my girlfriend/family before n they said I dont look like those pictures.. But I just dont get how the picture looks so drastically horrible.. I took a pic and flipped it n it looks so diffrent.. WHAT DO I LOOK LIKE REALLY?

  • @DatCoolAfroNinja However you want to. It's all in your head ( and in crappy cameras on auto mode). I can tell you how light and brains work but you know how you feel when you look in the mirror or camera. The sick, fucked up truth is, you look like how you feel. Nothing is more potent in a human brain than other people's emotions. If you feel ugly, the people around you think you are ugly. How other people see us is the real variable in question here.

  • @vichiousfishes iunno tho because i flipped my pics and ppl say i dont look like that? I hought it was supposed to be what u truely look like in the eyes of others..

  • @greekboy2k: Please watch my video 'The True Mirror explained Part 1' ! It's a non-reversed 3D true mirror! (Your 'normal' backwards mirror image is NOT you, actually non-existing, only YOU see yourself that way!) Videos and photos of you are the right way around. Be aware though your 'own video' on the messenger is your mirror image! but the other person sees you the right way! Try by holding writing in front of your webcam...

  • @greekboy2k I love you too! Kisses and hugs = }

  • But did you take into account that your head might be tilted?

  • Comment removed

  • @UrbyKris AHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • depressing...

  • I discovered the other day when I was on a skype video call with my husband, that they fool you again by showing your own video reversed as mirror image! but the other person sees you the right way and vice versa! The same on the MSN messenger! Bummer...

  • you look like a bald manny pacquiao

  • If you want to see how you look to other people, get two identical flat mirrors and put them together to form a 90% angle. Look in the center of it. This will show the real you.

  • @AlexAlex1319 if you are confused by this, send me a message and i'll explain thorougly. this will allow you to see yourself WITHOUT your face being reversed!

  • yo i'm not sure i understand this -- the mirror image is just a reflected duplication of the object (our face) -- so the image is identical but simply reversed. from this understanding, i don't see how there is some discernable difference between a mirror image and how others view me (or how photographs of me look like).

  • @123DROCK #facepalms.... -_-

  • @123DROCK i am too lmaoooo. it makes me feel like i have no identity of myself!!! like im just roaming the earth not knowing who i am. so if u dont look anything like u do in the photos how does the photo capture whats not there??? straaaaaange....

  • @123DROCK i'm pretty sure the mirror is not the true identity, when someone takes a photo of us that's what we look like when we see ourselves on film thats what we look like. when we take photos of ourselves its altered i think. like if you wanna know wut u really look like just have someone take a candid photo of you, but u cant know when they do it and thas pretty accurate. this suxx.....no one knows wut they really look like -_-

  • Hey, I can't post my video responds again.

"The True Mirror explained Part 1" but now people can see it on the right as suggested videos! Shedding light unto the mystery of the false non-existing reversed mirror image...

  • @123DROCK The mirror is not what you look like to other people because you are the only one who sees you reversed in the mirror. Everyone else sees you the other way around. The tricky thing here is that cameras used incorrectly make you look far more different than the mirror does. Pop flash and wide lenses, high ISO will rip your face up. Cameras also take in the whole scene. They see differently than us. We can only focus on one tiny spot at a time.

Go buy Photographic Seeing, by Feininger.

  • @123DROCK The photo is more like how other people see you. It's just like when you hear your own voice when editing youtube videos; "My God, do i really sound like that."

  • Great tutorial. Definitely helps to have a visual example instead of a written one. I was going to comment "But it looks like two different people!" until I realized that each side in each picture is only showing the differences between a mirror image & a non flipped one, right? They are NOT meant to be seen as a whole face? I think that's right... otherwise I'm horribly confused. And doesn't simply flipping your entire picture show the mirror effect too?

  • @bettieblair Yes, by showing the flipped and non flipped face side by side I was trying to accentuate the differences in how we see ourselves vs how others see us simply because of the mirror flip effect. You've got it right. Doubling it up with the whole face is just a perception thing, to let you really get a handle on it, visually.

  • @vichiousfishes

Well, what about webcam picture vs camera picture? Which is most accurate? The one I take with a webcam or the one i take with a cellphone camera? and Oh, how come some pictures look better than others, so lets say i take 2 pictures, one i turned out to be really good, and the other, pretty ugly, which one is me, the ugly one? or the good one? Thanks..

  • @Ripzter91 No one looks anything. It's all about lighting; but also salt and water deposit in the skin, mood, etc. No one you know ever looks exactly the same everyday. Lighting changes as well. But most of all a web cam or cell phone has a terrible lens. Lenses bend light just like your eyes. "Reality" is how that light is bent. A crap cell phone is going to bend light randomly and make worse distortions than a good camera and skilled photographer would.

  • @vichiousfishes

So How will i ever find out what I look like lol..is recording yourself with a video/webcam, enough? or..

  • @Ripzter91 Find someone who knows what they are doing with a proper camera. I'm sure a friend has a DSLR and actually knows how to use it. Alternatively, I have a video on my channel that shows you how to take a decent picture of yourself. But the thing is a webcam will never be good enough.

  • you sexy boyyy

  • Than I must be UGLY D:

  • @DarkennedFlower i know i hope this really isn't true

  • Nice :)

  • Cut from the LEFT side of your actual face.
