I don't like the chorus chords that much to be honest, sorry. But I do like your idea of a verse done with your powerchords.

that was actually really good, I love the sound you went into at the beginning and the end of the chorus. that is really catchy.

This is pretty much what you'd expect from a chorus. I wonder if Rivers was fishing for this since the D was his mandate.
