Admittedly, I know jack about guitars, but the tremolo bit in the middle is one of my most favourite parts ever written, Strokes or otherwise. I once didn't plug my headphones into my computer correctly, and for some reason it isolated just Valensi's playing. It was so good, I almost cried. And now I sound like a flaming pansy. Whatever.

Im having trouble with the tremelo part. How many times do you hit each string, and also are you palm muting it when you do, because it sounds like it on the cd.

you gotta hit each note twice on the first two parts or chords of it, then it changes for the last two. and yes im palm muting while i do it. i mean it doesnt sound perfect but it comes close. when i see nick doing it hes doing it the way i do, but i also think hes using his tremulator tremolo pedal along with it to give it that sound. also if you want it to sound better put your switch on the neck pickup.

yea i did actually. and yes its the black n chrome strat, but the one with all single coil pickups. i actually love the sound from this guitar for a squire its really great. and hey bought it for 60 bucks off some guy cant beat that.

well theres a 212 which costs about 500-600 which has 2x12inch speakers. then theres the one i have which is a 410 that costs about 700-800 which has 4x10inch speakers. so either one is good. but there very pricey brand new. i managed to get mine in mint condition for about 400. so i got it for less then half.
