Well that was appearantly the wrong term. Hurricanes develop from a tropical storm over the ocean and move west,they are twisters and need warm waters to build up energy. You get them in Florida for example. I guess the media compared it to the strength of a hurricane.

Where do you live in Germany...I was on a business trip an got stuck in the middle of nowhere in Dormagen...one of the worst hit areas!
My flight from the UK was good fun as well...
