  • very simple but i would have never figured it out...thanks!!

  • Man you are a life saver.

  • Easy or not, thanks! We all are new at some time.

  • from what i can see that is a very nice lookin' Honda! what is it?

  • @BSTEVENSONful It's the best motorcycle ever made. The Honda 919!

  • wow, thanks! I was wondering how to adjust my throttle's slack, but i never really had a problem with it in the first place.

  • Thanks, I just changed my throttle cables and couldn't figure out how to clean up the slack till I found this video.

  • good little video, i was about to buy a whole new throttle cable, you just saved me abit of money!

  • thanks man, my cb1300s' throttle has like an inch of play in it, pissing me off

  • no this was a good little video.

  • I tried this but it doesn't work. Should I fill the tank with gas?

  • The throttle might unhooked on one side

  • Spicybacon0304 yes it works put only on old school hand throttle dirt bikes that have been rebuilt to work like new

  • dose this work on dirt bikes also

  • Thank you.....:)

  • fuck up

  • you sound like jonah hill

  • thank god for You Tube!!

  • lock washer or lock nut?

  • @kenzo5716 Lock NUT, is what that is. Generally if it is threaded, and is adjustable with a wrench, like that crescent wrench he was using; then it's a nut.

  • @alexandrews1981 having been a mechanic for over 35 years, i do know the difference between a lock washer and a lock nut. However, if you watch the video you will hear him refer to it as a "lock washer", which is incorrect.

  • Cheers very helpful

  • Hay thanks man helped :)

  • Hey I hope you can help, I have a pocket rocket and I was showing off, pulled the throttle too hard and it snapped. Now it just rolls around on the handle bar withoutdoing anything. The grip thing has disconnected from the cable. How to I fix it.

(p.s I know nothing about it)

  • Thanks I learn alot from your vids

  • All wrong ware did u kern that

  • This was insanely helpful i thought it was much more complicated

  • My throttle cable broke and when I put the new one in I had a TON of free play... I was worried something happened. I used this video and it worked like a charm. My bike is ready to be back on the road like brand new THANKS!!!

  • Thank you for posting this helpful video!

  • if it comes off can u shart the bike

  • Thank you sir! This is EXACTLY what I needed! My bike's throttle had a LOT of freeplay, and this fixed it perfectly! God I was hating the jerky shifts and weird take offs! Can't wait to drive her again!

    Thanks again for this video!

  • It's a lock NUT, not lock washer.

2 completely different types of hardware.

  • @betarace I don't know. I only work on fake motorcycles.

  • @SuperSneakySteve hahahaha

  • @SuperSneakySteve haha!! That made my day!! Thank you!! So funny!

  • Does this effect the revs?

  • @rand0mlyrand0m No, it only changes the free play when you're off the throttle.

  • @SuperSneakySteve Thanks, cause my 50cc scooter isn't going as fast as it should it stays at 40mph on a flat smooth road when i know its gone 60mph on the same road. I thought it might be the throttle not fully twisting back.

  • @rand0mlyrand0m How the hell does a 50cc scooter go 60mph? I got a 49cc scooter and on a flat road it goes about 40, now down hill though I've gotten up to 64mph.

  • @SuperSneakySteve

Cool video mate! But I have one question. On my Yamaha dt the gas roller doesnt slide back when I release the roller! Will the adjust fix it?

    Thank you mate!!

  • @Hockeyvalley No, you most likely have a gummed up cable. You can clean the old one or replace it. They should be replaced after so many miles anyway so I'd just buy a new one. It really sucks when they break while you're riding.

  • wow so simple thankyou

  • you are the dog bollocks!! thanks a lot man exactly what i needed cheers!!

  • Saved me hours, Thanks man.

  • ty for recording this...I really needed to do it and it woulda taken me forever to figure it out!! lol

    laterzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • Exactly what I was looking for thanks.

  • nice one cheers.

  • thanks helped a lot

  • Thanks buddy, I'm new to all this, so for me this video is perfect, cheers. One of the few videos where the camera isn't a million miles away from the bike :)

  • helps a bunch thanks ^.^v

  • cant do this on my xr :(

  • Another good one, thanks. Just adjusted my throttle freeplay, and man, it's nice not to have slop and jerkiness in the throttle response any longer!

  • you actually want to turn you're bar as far left and then do all that stuff. because the cable actually tighten slightly when the bars turn left, so say if you have no slack when you tighten the cable while the bars are straight when you turn left the cables tighten just a touch, but enough that the bike will acellerate and could make you crash cause you wouldnt expect that slight gas. try it test the slack while the bars are straight and then turn it left and you'll notice the slack it gone.

  • i was about to say lol, you need to have your handle bars turned or bad things will happen lol

  • Muchas gracias, amigo!

  • You untightened it??? There is a word for that you know. It is called "loosened" Say it with me now...."I loosened it"

  • I broke my cable in that throttle tube. what i'm supposed to do now? can I fix it by myself?

  • did the cable snap off the small cylinder shaped piece of metal thats inside the throttle? if yes then no you cant fix it

  • no balls lol

  • yeah been needing to do this but didnt know how..

  • Cheers fella

  • thanks

  • Thanks man!

  • Helpful going to do this on my katana.
