My comment was for Jester995 not the video. Independently of where you view this model from, the rotation direction is wrong. The direction of earth's rotation is from east to west. Once you have defined north and south (as geographically defined on the model above) then the direction of rotation follows from that.

When you F12 (Render) it doesn't save anywhere by default. Its just a single frame that you can choose to save with F3 (also in File dropdown) If you want to make an animation you select the drop down on Format tab and choose desired output type (and size). Then you'll see in Output tab you can choose a location for this file to be written when you Ctrl F12 or hit ANIM button. I think it defaults to /tmp. Good luck.

For something professional and if space isn't a concern, use AVI raw. For most of my stuff, especially stuff I post here I use AVI jpeg. AVI jpeg compresses each frame so the final filesize is relatively small for decent quality video.
