  • wow!

can you play the theme from True Romance by Hans Zimmer on this?

  • @remixvillain I'm sure with some time and practice I could. I'll have to pull it up and listen to it. Thanks for the suggestion.

  • Absolutely beautiful!! Great talent, not only in the mechanics, but the great interpretation and feeling in playing. Thanks for posting this! I've never seen this instrument before tonight. Thanks for the education!

  • Thank you so much. It's a beautiful instrument isn't it. I love it.

  • that was beautiful! Just asking but, how long have you been playing? And where did you first see that instrument? Anyways, excellent job!

  • Hi again mindi,

Thank you again too. I have been playing kalimbas for quite a few years. I wanted to find one that had more tines and came across this mbira. I have actually had it just one year,,,got it right before Thanksgiving last year. I'M OBSESSED and PASSIONATE about it! just love it! So I rehearse, a LOT!

  • Very nice arrangement! I liked the addition of Kum bye Yah. God gave us music so we might pray without words.

    God Bless.

  • I love your arrangement! I love how you inserted Kum Ba Ya! Quite a bit different than the one I did! If you want to check mine out, it's called Amazing Grace in the House of the Rising Sun.

  • wow this is great, congrats! I imagine it must be difficult to learn how to play this instrument, is it?

  • It has its challenges, as with any instrument. But it's well worth the time to accomplish. I LOVE playing this instrument. It fills my soul :0)

  • I'm sorry I missed your comment and haven't responded yet. It's quite challenging to learn the Array, but once you "see" the layout and my muscle memory kicks in with my arrangements, it's a pleasure to play. Thanks for listening!

  • Thank you so much for doing this -- it is absolutely beautiful.

  • awesome!
