  • how long did they last? and did you get lifting around the cuticles quickly?

  • you made it seems so easy! now im inspired!! (:

  • i looove the pink tips u have! im sick of plain old white french tips yuck lol..i love the colored ones! :) well done! i wanna try this! its waaay too damn expensive to have this done at the salon n upkeep too. great video gurl!

  • nails are so pretty i'm gonna try it on my natural nails, they're curvy like eagle claw so when they get too long they start breaking...

  • their so beutifull nice work :)

  • Love it

  • where did u buy the nail tips

  • How many applications do you usually get with that bottle of gel?

  • Great video very helpful your nails look great. How do they hold up to water, and dog washing

  • This is exactly the product I am looking for, thanks for posting.

  • you talked to much which almost made me fall asleep not meaning to be rude however im free to leave comment.Although your nails looked great

  • Good job I love your instructions they were easy to follow thank you !!

  • Super cute! Im trying to grow my nails out.. But i kinda want go go back to doing all that! :p

@baileyejohnson4 she said at Sally's :) Its a beauty supply store.

  • Thank you

  • you're nails are soooo cute ! how much did the kit cost & where did you get it ??

  • Where did u get the kit ?how much?and how long did they last??

  • i did this but then the gel nails started to crack after i took a shower. mmm..

  • They look bad. The tip has a raised base which does not blend in with the rest of your nail. No matter how much Gel you put on, it won't cover that.

  • :)

  • Wer else can i get this kit from??

  • Can you do 2 layers of gel after the first layer has dried?

  • @OfficialLinneaK you should def apply as many layers as you need to get the thickness that is right for you.

  • how much did the kit cost

  • @OfficialLinneaK yes you can do an other layer after the gel has dried

  • yes u could but u have to let that dry to

  • Can you put up a video doing a refill so I can see how , and what to do ? [If you have free time to do it , anytime before Monday]

  • @ALIAHPINKY I currently don't have these on my nails to do a video, but this is what I do to refill it...

File down the nail tip to desired length. Then for the nail tip that's grown out... I just repaint a new one (because I'm lazy and don't want to buff down the tip to add a new one)... Buff out where the nail has grown (so you cant see the part that's grown out on the gel), and just apply another 2-3 layers (dry in between each layer).

If anyone has other ways of filling, please share!!

  • This video is very helpful I will be buying this exact product , on Monday from sallys .

But when your doing a refill how will you do it with the gel ?

  • The tips will be more beautiful, when you do them higher...

  • Thank you for making this video! This has helped :) Would you still recommend this product?

  • @bluereviews10 I would def recommend this product over going to the salon for gels or acrylics. But I currently am growing out my nails, so I do not personally use this kit anymore.

  • the nailos r bendeble?

  • Thanks so much for this video. It really helped me out a lot. Im a college student at UTA and believe me when your a student on a budget its hard to keep up things like your nails. This has really helped me save like a tone of money lol now im not spending $40 every two weeks just to get my nails done. Cant wait to see more of your videos.

  • @ericatatum Thank you! :)

  • Thank you so much ! I was very nervous about attempting this myself but you did a fantastic tutorial ! Much appreciated , thank you!!!

  • @fawnpurple I'm glad it helped!

  • I loved that this was much more of A NORMAL tutorial, all the other seems like proffs. love that u r just a normal girl doing this at home, and not some nail trained thingie :) <3 great video ! <3

  • @1wolfiesLady thank you! :)

  • Thanks so much for this video. I've had the gel nails done in the salon with the UV light. I love to do my own nails because I feel like I am more particular than they are. This video helped me learn how to do it myself and get great results. Thanks again!!!

  • @MarinelloRealty no problem!! Glad to help!

  • nice job. I'm going to go buy it and give it a try. When it grows out can you just do a fill or do you have to take them off and start over again?

  • @msreddbone77 I just carefully buff the grown out gel, just to rough up the surface and I apply more just to fill in the bare nail.

  • @wendytung ohhh ok thank you for the reply

  • I think they look amazing :D the nails were so pretty

  • You did a lovely job, Wendy! I'm contemplating doing my own nails for the first time and I think this is a wonderful demonstration. Your nails also look great. I have a question about the shape. I want the shape at the top of the tip to be exactly the same as the shape at the end (so the pink glitter part is uniform width all the way across). Do I just use a file to shape the top of the tip before applying it? Thanks.

  • @trishpulley Thank you! :) You could file the tip after putting on... or you can do it before application. Whichever would be easiest for you. I probably would file once it's glued on though.

  • im in school to become a nail tech right now and all i have to say is good job.(: its a lot harder to do it to yourself than someone else plus doing your left hand, assuming you are right handed, is soooooo hard. i think you did an awesome job for doing it on yourself or on anyone for that matter. everyone complaining can show me their nail tech licenses and thennnn will have the right to judge.

  • @ilivnelmosworld4 thank you :) you're comment cheered me up.. sorry for getting back to it so late!

  • cant i buy any of the products used in the UK?

  • How long do they last?

  • I agree all you people should leave her alone. For someone who isnt professional she did a very good job. And trust me I have seen alot of fake nails being done. Who cares if you can do better, thats not what this video is for

  • yes this is verry bad these are not gel nails

and i can doing it much better

  • I totally agree blahzerAlErT. What is wrong with you people? We're all trying to help each other and you say things like that? Well I understand the 14 y.o. but the rest of you? Very sad. Thank you for trying to help "some" of us.

  • For all the trolls leaving such bitchy-i-can-do-it-better comments - I'm really happy that you can do it better. But rather than telling the world that you can do it better, why don't you SHOW us you can do it better and leave a video response? I'm sure viewers would much rather watch your video if it was better.

  • @wendytung I have tried the kiss lightening speed gel kit. How long does this lightless gel kit last? Thank you so much for posting this video. I think a variety of videos are great *no body what anybody says* :-)

  • @wendytung good for you x

  • Nice nails

  • This nice lady has taken time out of her day to help and give people tips on doing their own nails, she obviously isn't a total professional and i doubt many of us are so I don't understand why everyone's is being so rude? They aren't THAT bad..

  • I think they look great for having been done by yourself and with the materials you used! I would prefer this over gel nails that require UV light to cure. Keetp it up! Do more nail tutorials!

  • Does this kit do more then just 1 set of nails?

  • next time you should file and blend the tip beter

  • Wow even with your bad video camera I can still see how horrible those nails look.

  • thanks for the blade tip!

(tip as in advice... not nail tips haha)

  • Everybody is a pro ....Not! For what they cost, they look good. That's the thing doing your own nails, you can keep changing you techniques to what you like. Keep going girl !!!

  • Everybody is a pro ....Not! For what they cost, they look good. That's the thing doing your own nails, you can keep changing you techniques to what you like. Keep going girl !!!

  • How long do these naills last

  • Do you have to have the clear polish?

  • You guys need to stop being so harsh. Her nails look lovely and I appreciate someone making a tutorial like this so all of us can learn how to do it. If you don't like the music or think the video is too long, then don't watch it. Don't complain to her about it.

  • @msgodschild86 tottally agree. poor video

  • your nails look lovely! :)

  • This video was perfect thank you. It will be easy to make adjustments to my preference. Thanx again for making this!

  • there alrite but where do you get the product and how much did they cost?

  • ummm they dont look too good .

  • they are okay but they look crappy beacuse you need to file the acrylic part untill it lines up/blends with your real nail so you need tyo paint the glitter on after applying it makes gthe glitter harder but the nail looks wayyyyy better :)

  • You talk A LOT lol

  • they look very good but one question how long do they last do they fall off like the acrylic kits or do you just have to fill them in when time and if so what do you use the stuff you did the first time

  • @msgodschild86 i agree you should not be able to see the join were the tip starts !! the gel should be applied thicker leaving a seamless finish

  • You talk too much and your video is so long... Wish this would be shorter

  • How long do these last? When they grow out and need to be filled, what do you use to fill them? Have you tried gels and if so, which do you think are better?

  • I feel that the video is a bit too long..

please try to make it a bit shorter and more straight to the point...

the nails are nicely done.. and Love the nail trimmer/cutter, I'm getting one.

hope you'll trim the vid too! Good luck!

  • but i like the vid

  • no offense but it looks bad. i think its the tips not the kit i saw other vids where they used that kit and it look amazing. im gonna get it off of amazon. i think its the tips and you didnt put enough gel. and no offense again but u talk a lot.

  • Great video hun!!! Im going to sallys and save my money and do my own nails today lol. Just one question, why did you need acetone again? i dont recall seeing you use it. Thanks!!!

    -Taylor

  • where can you buy the supplies? :)

  • @XxThatGirl13xX everything can be purchased at Sally's Beauty Supplies (store or online)

  • @wendytung how long do your nails last and also can yout do a video on how to fill the nails that would be great thank you

  • It´s very bad.I´m 14 and I can nicer nails.

  • Would you suggest this for hard work? I show horses and I have to up my game this year for showing. I need to look more than professional. French tips give it a nice look. And there was something else I wanted to ask but I can't remember!

  • They look better longer don't cut them so short.

  • why do you put the tips so high up on your nail? it looks kinda weird no effence its just my opinion

  • hi, isn't it similar to the normal nail polish?

  • @yuhsuan2 its slightly thicker than nail polish. The application method is more of like patting the gel to evenly distribute on your nail bed whereas nail polish is more of a brush on method.

  • i tried buffing my nails like you did at the end after you applied the gel to make the nails even but my fake nails get scratch up and ugly...is there a certain buffer that i buff it with?

  • @yengbren08 I just use the file that comes in the kit. But, as others have suggested, you may have to do a 2nd or maybe even a 3d coat of gel to achieve thickness before filing.

  • around how much was the light less gel kit.?

  • @annelller15 the whole kit is around $18... If you already have acrylic tips with glue, and have a nail file, you can buy the gel and cure separately for around $13.

  • where did you get the pink tips at? Usually i see the white ones in a kit only. Also, toward the end when you buff the nails..you only buff the pink tip right? and not the whole nail?

  • @yengbren08 I got the pink tips off of a seller on ebay. There are toooons of them on ebay :)

You buff the entire nail... Pretty much, anywhere you applied the gel, you buff. This is to make sure the entire nail is smooth and not lumpy.

  • @yengbren08 I got my nail tips off a seller on ebay. I got like a 300 count for $2. And you want to file down the whole gel nail to get an even surface throughout.

  • As others have said, if you use more layers your nails will last for much longer than 2 weeks and they will look finished which unfortunately they don't at the moment.

  • love the video :)

  • where did you buy your tips they look nice

  • @MsSheeka I got the pink tips off of a seller on ebay

  • No offense but it looks kinda cheap >.< they're pretty but you would've gotten better results if you put more gel because you can see the ridge where the tip and the actual nail meet

  • @danibro96 i would agree but i dont think its her fault, i think its the kit.

  • I have those same pink tips and that was a good idea with the nail polish to make glitter tips, so i went to go buy that polish and it looked so cute with the pink tips!

  • how much is for the kit?

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you for the video. If I may, I would like t make a suggestion. On your video it is very obvious that you layer your gel VERY thin. This lessens the longevity of the nail. You can do multiple layers, and build up....I can see where your tip meets your nail...there is a ridge. Your nails look great, but could look better. Just trying to offer some tips. :-) I use the same kit

  • @xxxamorexxx thank you for the great tip! I will def have to try layering the gel.

  • thanks for the video except the annoying music in the background, perhaps you could remove that. you know i tried to listen to your instruction but that music just very annoying. sorry - i gotta be honest. again thx for the video, not the music:(

  • How long do your nails usually last like this?

  • @REAListicKels they usually last about 1.5 weeks... I can push it to 2 weeks if I take extra care of them (rare)

  • are the products odorless?

  • @sillyme713 the gel is odorless, but the spray has a smell... It smells like most nail primers, but it doesn't seem to linger. I don't have to be in a overly ventilated area to use the kit.

  • i had the asp kit i liked it but the gel would get on my skin kute nails

  • @imthickardenasnicka i hate when it gets on my skin too :( very annoying to try and file it off... I'm still trying to find a technique that would avoid skin contact! But thank you for the comment :)
