@SnowWolfJones It's the Cr500 motor. It can easily be done, but the frame isn't designed to handle the harmonic vibrations. The frame needs to be stiffend up or it will shake itself apart.

@RoostAllDay187 i'd have to say look into checking the balancer bearing. first thing that comes to mind with any older suzuki. had a similair problem with mine. couldnt even hold onto the dam thing without breaking my wrist lol. and are you talking about the head-mount by any chance? alot of engine swaps (cool-head) will eliminate that mount, often causing similair issues. hope you get it worked out tho. those are great bikes, hang in there with her

I'm going to eventually build something real similar. Either CR KX or Husky 500 2 stroke powered. Just looks and sounds like to much fun, and perfect for PNW dunes. Once I get closer to moving up there, I'll get more focused on finding a trike to build from, but I still keep my eyes opened some on nice custom trike builds.

Wish there was more footage of ATC500r's in here. Still planning to build one myself one day. Barely missed out on an 86 Tecate 3 with a KX500 engine swapped in locally, that was dirt cheap. One day though. Gotta finish my Husky 500XC project and a few others for now though.

@Potatoes6676 You cant hit 500, but you can get damn close. Some guys took a polaris 440(big bore from the 400) and stuck it on a 250r. They are researching a larger piston making it closer to 490cc. Do a search for "Polanda". It'll be on atvsource's website, but just search google.

Regardless of what the plastic says, the main problem is, the pipe looks NOTHING like a CR500 pipe. Plus, if you pause it like some of these others have said, you really can't tell it's a 500. So if it IS a 500, it must run horrible with the lame 250r pipe, if it ran at all. Personally, I don't think it's a 500. I've built many. Hondas and Kawis. Something smells funny with this whole thing. Better put another vid up for proof buddy.

Yamaha manufactured the Banshee 350 Twin...Also for a short time they manufactured the Banshee 500 which also was a twin cylinder 2 stroke. They discontinued it though and are rare.
