Congratulations everyone. Apparently I'm an idiot and a dumb ass. So yes I did figure out the gt500 its still svt. The shelby gt on the other hand I can not find any evidence that svt had any hand in taking a stock gt and adding a cold air intake, strut tower bar,a bumper and graphics. Not hand built motor by svt. The gt500 yes, not the shelby gt. Thanks for calling name guys. Your maturity is showing.

The Shelby does have the svt motor in it and may have been built in some of the same manners but the contract from ford is for Carrol Shelby and his name not SVT like the old termis (wish it was a true svt as I loved my older termi but that isn't the case) hence the controversy for the 2013 ford performance contract. Anyways, there was no 2006 SVT GT. Neither the gt500 or the shelby gt were released until 2007. Anything earlier is just a lookalike.

They both were modified. Unless you think an '03 Cobra had 610hp stock. Which if you do, then you don't know anything about Mustangs. The 03 was lighter and had 50+ more horsepower than the '06 in this race, and it couldn't pull away from it.

Neither driver has anything to be ashamed about. They both have nice cars. And both are fast.
