Please don't put it in the ball as it is just some manufactures ploy to make money with complete lack of caring of the health and welfare to the safety of the guinea pig. A guinea pigs spine is shaped completely backwards to make it safe for a ball, it can cause them permanent damaged.

no, its good for them, i have two guinea pigs, and we went to the vet one day and they said that we SHOULD get a ball for them. its good excersize

Hey, don't worry about the ball thing. I used to use it on Peanut...luckily I only used it for 5 minutes before surfing the web and relizing I shouldn't put him in there! Haha, cute Piggies. I have that same cage! =p I have a question: Are those 2 male Guinea Pigs? Or what? I agree, even if they SELL them for guinea pigs they are not safe. Their backs do not bend backwards like a hamster, besides they can roam free for awhile and you don't need the ball. They won't get lost like a hamster would nor would they dig holes in the walls and furniture..and they don't have the urge to "scurry" like hamsters either..so let 'em roam on the floor and let him explore.

Otherwise, you piggy is a cutey and you did a good job.

GP's backs are not as flexible as hamsters. Be careful putting them in a ball, it can damage their back.
