  • downloaded and overwtrite this musics for fallout 3 and new vegas :)

  • imagine this playing in camp searchlight :O

  • @8bitTerrorist That would be an easy mod to make.

  • The music in the orginal Fallout games are so much scaryer. Mainly because i just say "F the main game music" And turn on GNR or Radio New Vegas

  • whore, whore never changes.

  • If I'm not mistaken, this piece of music was in Fallout 1 too.

  • @ozerataoglu

    Yes, you are right.

  • I always tought this sounded like the kind of music you would hear on some kind of Cold War TV documentary...

  • The Enclave defeated twice, bitterly broken, by some Karmic miracle. They retreated ounce again into hiding...they hid and hid....but somethings different, when they arose, they were unbeatable. Karmic Miracles have nothing to stop the Enclave this time. They're Chicago stronghold, coupled with bases that allow there forces to occupy all the midwest, the Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel has fallen...what is certain is, a bloodshed that will run whole canyons red, the wasteland, will change.

  • @SSFhighcommandJOHN You forgot to put 'War, war never changes' in your impressive monologue

  • It's a good thing they didn't play this at Jamestown, otherwise I would have had the unstoppable urge to kill all mutants.

  • The Fallout series is truly and indisputably the greatest video game series of all time. The atmosphere and sheer immersible nature of it is unprecedented and unmatched, you actually feel like your living after the end of the world.

This masterpiece right here is a sterling example.

  • Mark Morgan is an absolute genius.

Fallout 3 are Fallout New Vegas are good games but the new Fallout games will (probably) never be as unique and great as the original Fallout games

  • This music just shows that it's not graphics that make an awesome atmosphere in a game. After all these years, the world of classic Fallout games is still as unfriendly and threatening as it was years ago. I salute you, all Chosen Ones and Vault Dwellers that succumbed to the Wastes. You will not be remembered. But your bare bones will shine on the sands...forever.

  • imagine that u are going alone at night in city and this song is playing in ur headphones ... aah

  • "and in 2 brief hours the world way nothing but an atomic wasteland"

this music reminds me of what it would be like after the bombs fell in fallout when it rained ash and black rain

  • oh god the memories i remember listening to these fallout 2 songs.. thank you to uploader, keep the original fallout spirit up!

  • Keep that Plasma Rifle charged folks!

  • can someone explain to me why there's no BGM in Fallout 2 when I play it?

By the way, I'm not THAT great with computers and have no idea how to install patches or whatever.

  • @TeamFortressHeavy

Okay, I have the same problem so I'll tell you why and how to fix it. I'm assuming that you probably have the collection that includes all the old games, but if even if not this should still fix it. Go to your directory. To get there open My Computers and select Local Disk C. From there click Program Files and choose the folder that has Fallout 2. If you have the original Fallout 2 then it will be under Black Isle. If you have the collection it will be under Interplay.

  • @TeamFortressHeavy

This is a continue of my first post on how to restore sound. Select the Fallout 2 folder. From here you have two options. I'll describe both of them in case you don't get the other. Option 1: Open your Data folder. From there you want to select your sound folder and inside that should be the music folder. Select the music folder and copy and paste ALL the files in there. Now go back to your Fallout 2 folder and select the sound folder and then the music folder inside that one

  • @TeamFortressHeavy

Again, continue of the last two posts. Paste the copied files into the music folder. That should fix it. Now for option 2. This way's faster, but if you don't what you're doing you could mess up the game. Option 2: In your Fallout 2 folder you should see a file called fallout2.cfg. Open it and find the lines that say: music_path1=sound/music

    music_path1=sound/music

You'll want to change these files to:

    music_path1=data/sound/music

    music_path2=data/sound/music

  • @TeamFortressHeavy

That should fix it also. I have Windows XP so I don't if it's any different getting to the Fallout 2 folder for Vista or Windows 7 or the older version like 95, 98 etc. However, rest of what I said should work on all versions of Windows. Sorry for the large amount of posts, but you said you aren't good with computers so I wanted to make sure you understood what to do and how to the Fallout 2 folder. Hopes this helps.

  • not a lot of action in the game compared to the stuff you get today. that being said this music was as much of a main character as any other person you interacted with i miss old video game music. had a bit of style and class that modern day games lack.

  • music never plays on my games.

Except for the 3 seconds of player piano music in redding.

  • those sireens haunted me in this game

  • Gives me chills..

Also makes me feel like im in the world of Fallout. O_o

  • This song immediately makes me remember a mine cart and some sticks of dynamite...

  • scary song, love it!

  • It's great to hear these old tunes in Fallout New Vegas. It's unbelievable how music can change the whole gaming experience , first two fallouts would never be so amazing without their music.

  • i can imagine

returning to the ruins of navvaro and all of sudden gaining visions of the battle your father had with supermutants and the lutenant

  • is it weird if i liked this song the best? Getting into the military base with this haunting me, god it was awesome!

  • I lived at Sierra Army Depot in 1987....It's located in Herlong California...the music is cool.

  • Narrator, "After several dozen reloads and developing an unhealthy obsession with Mentats, you deftly avert the computer error and retrieve the illustrious Cybernetic Brain. But wait, what's this? There seems to be a malfunction with the robot; combusting in to a gigantic explosion that you could hear from fuckin' topside...and it seems that in your panic you accidentally hit the reload button." Player, "This sucks!" Narrator, "Yes, this does suck."

  • Wow, I have played through this game like, 5 times and I still find new things each time.

  • love listening to this song with the Pipboy 2000 up and the Bombs falling on the screen saver... Feels good man

  • what ? you have a screen saver of a fallout thing ? send me link

  • @VALVEGAMER20 on the game itself bro, when you're in the Pipboy 2000 and dont touch anything or move the mouse at all bombs start falling on the screen... its a screensaver

  • thank you for uploading this

  • @crysiseternity Absolutely. To me Fallout 1&2 were a combo of the mad max universe, a bit of fist of the north star, and rest, its own unique experience that will take a lot to be beaten

  • Mark Morgan did an outstanding job. i mean the sirens in the back ground. and the tension in the air. outstanding!!

  • @WarriorCatFan100 yah but whoever made the music for fallout tatics are just horrible.

  • Dam i've been searching everywhere on the internet for this soundtrack, i want to buy a cd with all the songs.......no luck.

  • You encounter:

    A toxic waste dump.

You have received a large dose of radiation.

You have received a large dose of radiation.

You have received a large dose of radiation.

  • In Fallout 3 they never got the sound atmosphere just right. Mark Morgan understands the importance of bone chilling music, and he got it right.

  • @Kyntteri1

They missed the mark completely with Fallout 3 as far as music is concerned. The game is a blast but it feels like a kid's game in a way.

  • @Kyntteri1

Yeah, I modded the music in FO3 because its just so...so horrible. The music is so booming when a Mole Rat is chasing you...NOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

  • @inuyasha11231

Bethesda had a similar issue in Oblivion; a mud crab attacks and it's like the coming of the apocalypse. I'm surprised they didn't fix it.

  • @Kyntteri1 Yes I think if Fallout 3 had music like this, it would've been an incredible experience.

  • @Kyntteri1 I disagree. Fallout 3 took place in the ruins of the Capital, Fallout and Fallout 2 took place in the endless void of desert.

Two different atmospheres, personally I think all Fallout games are superb (the ACTUAL series, aka Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout 3, and Fallout: New Vegas not the knock-off games).

When traversing through the ruins and crumbled landmarks of DC, the atmosphere is epic.

When traversing the post-nuclear irradiated desert, the atmosphere is epic.

  • @TPizzle83 Musicwise felt like oblivion mod to me, but sure we can agree to disagree.

  • @Kyntteri1 Certain parts, I'll agree. Like the Wasteland ambiance and mostly head shaking combat music.

But imo, the Hans Zimmer music that plays when your nearing or in a base, national landmark, or Arlington Cemetery... it's just masterful.

But hey, at least it's unique and new. New Vegas' soundtrack was mostly using Fallout 1 and Fallout 2's music which are both epic soundtracks respectively. But... not very creative.

Hopefully we'll hear epic music and ambiance like this in Fallout 4.

  • @TPizzle83

New Vegas actually had its own soundtrack, aside from using Fallout 1 and 2's music.

But it sure did suffer from a lack of creativity when it came to the radio music. Same three or so songs in a loop lol. Johnny goddamn Guitar.

  • @TheCanadianPrairies I hate that song now because of Fallout, lol.

  • @Kyntteri1 Yes, with inspiration from most notably Brian Eno and Aphex Twin.

  • @Kyntteri1 The song was originally by Brian Eno from his 1978 album, Type in Brian Eno Alternative 3

  • This song is like the prelude to the bombings... Like - the air is tense and everyone is on edge, then the sirens roar and armies gather. Then oblivion is made in a mushroom cloud.

  • @Kaajevikjen Well said!

  • sierra army depot?

  • sierra army depot is like the gecko caves u get it by a quest ... if u are very good at sience u can get an robot fellower :) gl hf

  • ur supposed to find a way inside for the wright family mafia, its after u do their first mission

  • eeeeek im afraid now : (

  • Just listen to this song is creepy. Does anyone else here sirens in the backround when they hear this?

  • Yes! It is really creepy! I hear the sirens too!

  • Echoes of the Great War...

  • I think they start at 0:56.

  • i hear them

  • long story...

  • it reminds me of fallout 1`s theme music...

  • It is.

  • more then 10 save-points here :)

  • This song always freaked me out. It's kinda scary xD

  • i was nervous all the time, any noise would freaked me out.

  • ti's the end of the world in music !!! yer it's scary

  • @thewooky especially in necropolis in fallout one

  • @thewooky Kinda scary? this music chills me to the Bone...... O_O
