Hey man I used Fraps. I got the full version but you can get the shareware for free, it only lets you record 30 seconds at a time and leaves a watermark. To edit all my clips I used Pinnacle Studio 12.

Use MSTS Activity Editor, and make one to where your train is coming head on towards an AI train. Fun fun.
