    ... wow..some defending champs.. hahahah!!!

    GO WINGS!!

  • Comment removed

  • Boo

  • Any Pittsburgh penguins fans? Follow me on Twitter. My screenname is laurenloves87. I'm a huge pens fan, and very funny!!!

  • HERE WE GO PENS

  • @rikkifan12 Sorry to inform you, but your team blows...immensly.

  • i still hate the red wings fans more so than the team itself morals suggest that when someone looks seriously injured, you don't cheer at the fact that he is injured. That event single handedly makes me want to nuke Joe Louis Arena.

  • lol yeah it cracks me up that Wings and Flyers fans love to pat themselves on the back saying theyre the most dedicated and respectful fans in the nhl, then go on to say that Pens fans are bandwaggoners. Too bad they are literally the only people involved with hockey that seem to think so

  • i dont know that when you tackle a player 15 seconde after the game you have no penalitie

  • hello out there were on the air its hockey night tonight tension grows the whistle blows and the puck goes down the ice the goalie jumps and the players bump and the fans all go insane someone roars bobby scores at the good old hockey game oh the good old hockey game is the best game you can name and the best game you can name is the good old hockey game second period where players dash with skates a-flash

  • and because fleury is better than osgood

  • ahahahahahaha how was the ref corrupted. There was not one contorversial call in whole game.

  • pens rule, theres a page dedicated to them called champs, dedicated to their stanley cup victory at torontops com

  • I AGREE TO THAT BRADLEYBLOWS4LIFE, DETRIOT WAS A DETRIOT SUCK CITY... hEY D TOWN, YOU GUYS GOT SPANKED

  • Awesome Players

    Awesome Team

  • go pens wings suck

  • congrats to zetterberg for winning the cup and being a good sport to the other team........ oh wait no thats exactly the opposite of what happened! it was faggot zetterberg who lost the cup and instead of manning up to it he went to the press whining about crosby taking too long to get to the handshake when thats EXACTLY what the fucking wings did last year. poor wings fan i understand u lost and ur bitter.

  • Only thing you guys in Detroit have to look forward to is hockey season. Your football team can't even win one game and plus you have the highest crime rate and lowest employment rate in the country. Detroit is the city of failures. Such a disgrace to even consider them a part of our country. btw, aren't most of the red wings in their 30s and older?? They should all head for the retirement home. Bunch of washed up hasbeens. LMAO. = D

  • @BradyBlows4Life nigga we hardcore

  • @BradyBlows4Life lovin it man. best response i've ever seen.

  • @BradyBlows4Life alright first all football is gay if your a true hockey fan us hockey players hate football player your baseball team is equivalent to the lions thats a real sport along with hockey and city of failures your ridicoulous obviously youve never been to detroit i live 5 mins from the D. and hasbeens?? lidstrom best defensmen to ever play the game zetty and datsyuk are better than all of your players crosby sucks and whines at everything...

  • @BradyBlows4Life next comment shittsburgh isnt much better than detroit they have alot of crime and unemployment to and the only team you have that is good is the steelers and football is gay anyway. you sir kno nothing about detroit. and if we have hasbeens then why are we called hockeytown. detroit is the face of the nhl they bring in the most money most cups in the past 2 decades most playoff appereances in the past 2 decades 19 straight playoff appereance ha thats prolly more than total for

  • @apdanglez pittsburgh, the most livable city in the country and the city of champions. crosby, youngest captain in the nhl. hockey is the best sport ever created ill give you that but football isnt bad either. haha all you fags are known for being "hockeytown" because thats all youve got. once your detriot old timers retire. you guys are screwed

  • @pennstate51ftw not even close to the most livable and yzerman was the youngest captain and the sports had a bad year last year but their all turned around detroit best team in the nhl pistons are doing okay and the lions are way better than in the past and we got a bunch of youngstarts talk to me when the penguins dont suck ass and when crosby and malkin dont cry

  • @BradyBlows4Life the penguins

  • @BradyBlows4Life not really the pirates are a joke and the tigers have won championships and have alot more sucess then ur shit team u guys dont even have a basket ball team so dont talk and nah not close the wings will keep getting younger players better like datsyuk and zetterberg did in 2002 and 2004 so its not really going to effect the wings they will still be up in the western conference u faggot

  • lol history? what the fuck are you a raiders fan? history dont mean SHIT! ur stanley cup count didn't help you win this year did it? talking about history to defend ur team when they lose is the most pathetic shit any sports fan can do. sorry but ur shit is weak

  • what ev

but if kronwalls shot was an inch lower crosbys knee would still be hurting

thats all i have 2 say

  • you mean ONE more since the expansion, 4 for the wings and 3 for the pens. I hope you had fun winning when there were 6 teams!

  • hahah in the 50s we won a couple and there were more than 6 teams then bro

  • FAIL.

  • not really

  • @redwingsman4093 yea, but didnt those extra seven cups happened when there was only 6 teams in the league?

  • LETS GO PENS ..... MAD MAX

  • keep crying crosby haters!!! keep crying! they won the stanley cup suck it up!!! hah

  • go capitals

  • thats awfully interesting to hear from the fan of a team that just handed marian "the groin" gaborik $37.5 million dollars

  • aww cheer up poor ranger fan, I understand why you hate crosby, he won the stanley cup and ur faggot rangers didnt

  • amen brother amen

  • all i can say is fuck the haters LETS GO PENS!!!!!

  • oh please fred you gotta be fricking kidding crosby is a no class punk. you only saw what he said on camera. he went over to maltby after the game. and slashed him on the leg and said see you at the next game. so how is that classy. hes just a whiny bitch who got his way thanks to bettman and the just let em play mentality of the refs. and how about when the ref went up to the penguin and said hey get off the ice or ill call a to many men penalty. give me a break fred.

  • whine, whine, whine shut the fuck up loser

  • i totally forgot how much of a class act maltby has been throughout his career. he didn't deserve that VICIOUS slash at the end of the game, not from that goon crosby

sarcasm, learn it, live it, love it

  • LMFAO...you're such an idiot. Still trying to convince people "you heard" a ref go up to a Penguin, in the middle of play, in a loud arena, and say "get off the ice or I'll call a penalty". Such a fuckin whiner you are. You call Crosby a whiny little bitch, maybe you should look in the mirror sometime. Still WHINING on youtube when the game's been done for over a month. Grow up and GET THE FUCK OVER IT ALREADY!

  • Comment removed

  • Crosby is a classy young man,and anyone who calls him names is an idiot.

  • youre all jealous GO PENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah, sorry you like to comment on things before you even know about the whole situation. He was given painkillers and a numbing agent on his leg. He said (in front of cameras) that his knee felt fine, but he couldn't cut and stop very well when he went out for a shift. He decided it was better for the team to not be a liability rather than trying to be a hero. He didn't want to make a crucial mistake that cost the team the game, so he trusted his teammates. Good choice by the captain.

  • Hey, at least he plays playoff series when injured (had a broken foot against Ottawa in '07) and high ankle sprain last year...unlike Datsyuk who has to sit out what...7 games total with a hurt footie...and Lids had some sore nuts and missed a couple games. Yeah, you Wings fans don't get to talk shit lol.

  • Lol stfu, Crosby's never even missed a whole playoff game in his career either. If you think Lidstroms sore nuts were a good enough reason to miss 2 games than you can't say crap about Crosby hurting his knee. Don't call a player getting hurt and having to sit out a pussy when there are players on your own team who've had to do the same. It's called hypocrisy. Nice try though.

  • oh god hes 21, of course he needs to grow up, just as ANY player at that age would be if they just won the cup. Fucking Lidstrom wouldnt be any different and you know it. And the only 'diving' that happened in the finals was in red jerseys, flopping to draw power plays that never existed while at the same time getting away with numerous slashing and tripping no-calls that even the commentators noticed, Detroit just got beat just fucking suck it up and take it like a real wings fan, not a bitch

  • He's fine as a leader and a captain. He did the best thing for his team by not trying to play hero when he knew he would be more of a liability than an asset after he got hurt in game 7. If he was just being a pussy and sitting out b/c he couldn't handle it, he would have missed playoff games the 2 prior seasons, plain and simple. He wanted to be out there, but didn't want a bad play he made b/c he couldn't stop and cut properly to cost them the game. I don't know why that's hard to understand.

  • Honestly, how would you know the extent of the injury? How do you know it was "just a bruise"? Are you part of the Penguins training staff, a player, a coach? He did go back out there, he couldn't stop or cut properly, he didn't want to be a liability that late in the game with the score 2-1. Again, this is the same captain that played the entire series against Ottawa with a fractured bone in his foot and 4 playoff series last year with a high ankle sprain. Quit being a hypocrite.

  • Well then I guess we'll just have to agree that Lidstrom and Datsyuk are bigger pussies then, since they missed multiple games. There, I feel better about this argument already. Thanks. Oh, and grow up a little will ya, you argue like a 10 year old. Nice little nothing comeback though. Now run along and play.

  • Sure does make me feel better proving you wrong. And yes, I know I'm more mature than you. Again, if Crosbys a little pussy bitch, then so are Lids and Datsyuk for not being able to suck it up and play when injured. End of Story.

  • Lol you're funny. Don't worry, you don't offend me ok. I do like how you're trying to take the high road now with "poor captain" and "needs to become a better leader" as opposed to "pussy bitch". Still the hypocrite lol. Have a nice night kid, it's been great having you prove my point for me.

  • The Wings did not totaly control Crosby, he had a decent amount of shots on goal that just missed.

    It's a team game.

That Detorit could for the most part take Crosby out ans still lose show how much better the Pens got from last year.

The Cup is in The Burgh!

  • Im so confused, comments are all over the place

  • Lol I know what you mean. And I understand the Thrashers were an expansion team, but I've looked it up and no other expansion team in the history of the NHL has gotten the kind of draft picks they did. That's why I bring them up. Funny stat I found though, the Canadiens of the late 60's early 70's were getting draft picks out the wazoo...and they were winning cups in those years. Just saying draft runs like the Pens had is not a complete anomaly.

  • Posted: Jun 5th, 2008 at 10:00 pm

Ok Im from Buffalo but live in Pittsburgh, and Pens fans r the most bandwagon, and the worst fans in the nhl. I go to games sometimes, and they suck. Nobody cares about hockey here. Now people r starting to just bcuz they were good. I love how mellon arena was like empty up until last yr. The worste part is.,. Im not a wings fan but stop bashing their fans and attendance records, cuz theyre a lot better than pittsburghs fans.

  • I can tell your from Buffalo, Penguins fans are the best! Very hockey smart also and guess what we dont want u here anyway move back to the s__t hole you come from oh by the way who won the Stanley Cup this year? How many do the sabers have?

  • The Stanley Cup is the hardest trophy to win in the history of sports.. and you got it handed to you on a silver platter.

Plus, I'm a wings fan, and we have 11.. The highest amount over every franchise in America.

  • Sigh...yes the Wings have 11...7 of which were won when there were only 6 teams in the league. Since the expansion the Wings have 4 and the Pens have 3. Try to not forget how long it took to get that 8th one either ok.

And cut the silver platter crap, the Pens had to fight hard to go from 10th to 4th in the EC (in a matter of 25 games) and had to fight through a tough playoff battle. Saying that kind of thing just cheapens what the Wings tried to accomplish and it cheapens the sport itself.

  • now now, the sport has been cheapened since the lockout. Bettman has put a new spin on the NHL, and it certainly is not pretty. Its not just one particular fan base that thinks they had been robbed.. The WHOLE playoff was filled with inconsistent calls, penalties being drawn from clean plays, the NHL selling out the league for TV rights. (back to back game 1 and 2?.. thats a CROCK.) You cannot tell me that there hasn't been any bias in favor of the pens coming from Bettman and the entire NHL.

  • I won't disagree about the refs sucking for the entire playoffs, that's true, but they sucked for all teams. I don't know how the Pens got any bias from Bettman and the NHL though. I mean, they had to fight back from 10th place to even make the playoffs, and didn't really get more breaks than anyone else once they got there. Don't even try and tell me the refs were biased either...the Wings had nearly double the powerplays that the Pens did for the entire series.

  • Bettman has had Crosby and the penguins glamorized since 2004-05. (also being the time when penguins got 1st round draft picks up the ass). Its been like 4 or 5 years that ive been hearing about Crosby and Malkin ALL OF THE FUCKING TIME, and year after year the penguins get kicked out of the playoffs, but it never ceased to stop the praising. The game has been manipulated for a team like Pittsburgh to be guaranteed a cup gift wrapped.

  • Well I'm sorry that the media pimps them out so much, not sure how that means the Pens got a cup gift wrapped for them. Thank you for ignoring that fact that the Pens didn't get any special treatment on the ice (aka way less powerplays than Detroit). Everything you say just comes off as whining and sour grapes, and not real hockey discussion. I'm used to it by now and will just ignore it from you as well. Good luck to the Wings next year.

  • Want to know how NHL gift wrapped the Penguins a cup. Draft picks.

    # 2003: Marc-Andre Fleury (first overall)

    # 2004: Evgeni Malkin (second overall)

    # 2005: Sidney Crosby (first overall)

    # 2006: Jordan Staal (second overall)

wow.. that looks like you're whole team.

  • First off, that's not our whole team...that's only 4 players. You're forgetting Letang, Talbot, Gonchar, Scuderi, Gill, Guerin, Kunitz, Kennedy, Fedetanko etc. etc.

By the way, I want you to do me a favor and go look at the Atlanta Flames draft picks from '99-'02 (heck you can even include '03 and '04 in there) and tell me why they haven't been a serious cup contender yet, since by your logic, you only need 4 good players to be handed a cup on a silver platter. Go ahead, I'll wait.

  • Sorry, Atlanta Thrashers.

  • Comment removed

  • You fuck, these are definitely the 4 players you hear about in your sleep. No it doesn't give you a cup, but it certainly gives you a clean handicap.. a helping hand specifically given to your team only. Try winning a cup WITHOUT those 4 players.. Possible? absolutely not.

Im assuming you mean the Calgary flames, seeing as Atlanta was done away with in 1980, and the lowest they went was 6th overall.

  • No need to resort to childish remarks, just trying to talk hockey. And I corrected myself, I meant the Atlanta Thrashers...who are a team lol.

Yes, it would not have been possible to win a cup without those players, but they could not have won a cup with them being the only good players. It's a team effort. You don't win a cup with just 4 good players. Besides, I know they got Crosby cause they sucked, but he was a lucky lottery win. He could have gone to an equally sucky team lol.

  • Become a consistent playoff contender for 18 years running, and maybe ill consider your stanley cup victory worthy. We won back to back championships by ourselves

  • Yes, and so did the Pens of the 90's, and then they went 12 straight seasons of playoff runs. That and the crappy owners of the '90s bankrupting the organization unfortunately caused the team to trade away their best players (sometimes for straight up cash). We have better owners and better management now who don't have their heads completely stuck up their asses, so I think we will be playoff contenders for many years to come. I respect completely what the Wings have been able to do btw.

  • Right Right, which is why I can say that if I could stand losing to 1 team, it'd be the Penguins. I look at the penguins clear domination in the early 90's and say: yes, thats a notable well deserved separate titles.

The fact that you can agree to an extent that you were helped out within the decade is what makes me go crazy when the arrogance level of penguins fans is so fantastically high, regardless of the FACT that their playoffs debuts were NOT miraculous.

  • No I know their playoff debuts were not miraculous. It was something that was expected of the team. This year though, nobody was sure if they would even make it to the playoffs, let alone make a serious cup run. The way Shero was able to help turn around a dismal season in very little time gives me a lot of hope for the future of this team and organization.

  • The only respect I have for the penguins comes from the Lemieux era.

This years victory though has come with some degree of arrogance I feel from penguins fans when the simple fact is: your team now is nothing of what it was before. We accomplished the same as you did, (back to back titles) then went on to win two more and still remain dominant.. and will most likely continue the record.. once again, on our own.

  • Yes, I realize a lot of Pens fans have gotten quite arrogant, but it is youtube after all, there's a lot of crap talking going on about every little thing on here lol. I have no doubt the Wings will continue to be serious playoff contenders, as I hope the Pens will be also.

  • Atleast we can agree on that, I wouldn't doubt that this will be an on going rivalry with maybe either another rematch in the final.. its been done before.

Makes me think of Colorado from back in the 90's.

  • your making it sound like the NHL personally handed staal, fluery, crosby and malkin to pittsburgh.its more like having a couple down years, and doing a great job ith your draft picks.and letting them develope into stanley cup champions.

  • .. yeah thats my point. you guys were shitty, and then got developed. try being consistent contenders for two decades, bitch.

  • so is that how your going to try and rip on the penguins for winning the stanley cup?thats the worst attempt that ive seen so far.i could care less how many years you are ''contenders'', if the pens win the cup im happy and they arent looking to be contenders they are looking for win it every single year, and with the team that they have that is a big possibility.

  • what the hell are you talking about?

  • nevermind i couldnt be any more clear

  • :D Penguins :D

  • i dont hate the penguins i hate the press and announcer crosby fan boys.....they are all crosby fanboys its disgusting...oh and i dont hate crosby either.

  • we have so many band wagon fans here, it is so unberable, everyone claiming the love crosby, its shit

  • Know that EVERY team has a grip of bandwagon fans when they win, and anyone who claims that theyre a pure fanbase in any sport is full of shit there are always bad apples

  • yea i know wat your saying.

  • I;ll admit, I didn't start watching hockey til last year. BUT, I didn't start watching because they were good, or because they were winning & in the playoffs. My sister happened to be flipping through channels on TV and I told her to put the hockey game on because I had never watched it. Sure enough, I got hooked. But unlike the shit loads of bandwagoners, I'll be going to and watching the games even when they have bad seasons. But the victory parade was bandwagon haven. I couldn't stand it.

  • Amen to that. I'm proud to say I've been a Pens fan since I was ten (2004) and plan to be one 'til I die.

There's a lot of bandwagoners where I live, both Penguins bandwagoners and hockey bandwagoners. I live right by the Penguin's AHL team, which came here ten years ago, so we have a lot of people who think they know hockey (which they don't) and love the Penguins. Gross. I've been watching hockey since I could remember. Daddy's a Devil's fan. :]

Good job Pens! Nice series Red Wings! <3

  • I've been trying to remember to watch the WB/S Penguins online but I always forgot.

I'll try and remember to watch next season though :D But I've heard good things aobut the WB/S fans. Is that not correct?

  • The fans? Well, they're pretty awsome. The real fan, though, not the ones there because they have nothing else to do. They never leave early. Some people leave, sure, but the majority stays. The Pens shown us so many times they don't give up, so we don't give up on them. I still remember a game against the Hershey Bears, the Pens were down by one goal. There was ten seconds left, they won the face off and cashed in on a slapshot. They lost in a shoot out, but it was still an amazing night. <3

  • Boston? Do you even have a hockey team? And the Patriots? NO Good Dirtty Rotten Filthy Cheaters - thats just their fans.

  • they're called the bruins bro.

  • After the Pens lost last year I said the next time they got back to the finals, they would win it. I just didn't expect them to get back the very next year! Good stuff! GO PENS!

  • lol and you know whats bizarre, before game 7 my mom asked me what happened and I told her that the pens would probably win and if they did Talbot would score the winner. I just had an eerie feeling that Talbot was gonna score I cant explain it

  • Yeah actually I also dreamed it in a dream, first in March and then a couple days before Game 7. Crazy when those things happen. Awesome that it was Talbot! He is all heart. What a guy.

  • both teams played great this year. hope you guys are up for the re-rematch next year.

  • no fuck that I want to see a friggin new final, GO FLAMES GO

  • hey titto how about when the pengs had to many men on the ice and the ref told him just to get off the ice or he would call a penalty. gee doesnt that strike you as odd. it sure does to me. and please we just dont rely on osgood to win the game for us. so please dont comment on a team that you really dont follow.

  • Lol the ref didnt just tell him to get off the ice, the Pens bench was yelling at him to get off the ice. The Wings didn't even notice there were too many men on the ice until Eaton was practically sitting on the bench. The refs missed a call, big whoop, they missed a lot that favored the Wings too. The Pens didn't score on that play either...unlike when Hossa slashed Dupuis stick in game 2 and then the Wings scored less than 5 seconds later. The reffing was terrible all series, for both sides.

  • it honestly seems like the refs were terrible for the whole playoffs =D

anyway congratz pens on winning the cup [as it pains me to say it] winning on away ice on game 7 rarely happens.

  • This is true, they were terrible, but it was evenly terrible for all teams lol. I for one didn't mind so much that they swallowed their whistles for the better part of the playoffs, it made the games more exciting and fun to watch. It was a complete opposite of the RS though, where they would call a ton of ticky tacky penalties, then in the playoffs barely call anything. A lot of teams got away with a ton of crap IMO. Thanks for the congrats, and hope to see these two teams in the finals again.

  • oh my god seeing pens and red wings again would be awesome pens got one and the red wings got, it'd be like the tie braker, it just seemed like refs did nothing for the playoff series, but man tho last ten minutes of game 7 i had a feeling that the refs were going to swallow their whistles. anyway awesome series, but coming from a red wings fan, i had a feeling that the red wings werent going to sweep or win in game 5, i had a feeling the pens had a few tricks up their sleeves.

  • youre talking about one missed call that wouldnt have changed the outcome of the game at all when in game 7 alone pens missed out on the better part of ten power plays that didnt get called. And you sure as hell better rely on youre goalie him blocking shots is just as important as your team scoring them.

  • and i congrat you on that but pitts has never had a cup history like detriot we have had 4 of those parades in 12 years but i can see pitts being a power house like detriot has.

  • ya your an idiot, what were you watching that you could see the ref specifically tell the penguins "you better get off the ice or ill call a penalty?"

No one noticed and if the penguins even scored it wouldn't have counted due to review. But I admit the refs were probably playing a def ear to it because of the horrible call they made 2 minutes before that was an obvious flop by the red wings player that actually did result in a score...

  • congratz pens comeing from a wings fan but you guys cant call yourselfs hockeytown yet just because you won one cup? when you have had a cup history like detriot then you can call your town hockey town but for now enjoy your win i should know as a wings fan it feels good when the cup gos to your town congratz pens feel the greatness

  • Thanks for the congrats, and I agree with you. Even if the Pens did win multiple cups I'd like to think that we could adopt a different name and not try to use another cities. Boston has Titletown, Detroit is Hockeytown, Pitts was City of Champions many moons ago, and I imagine that is what we will be using again, partly due to the Steelers winning the SB. To try and call ourselves Hockeytown is just silly IMO. I think some ppl on here are doing it just to ruffle some feathers though ya know.

  • did you see the pittsburgh parade? 350,000+ people showed up, parking lot garages were filled to the brim with fans just looking it get a glampse. looked like a hockeytown to me

  • you know i am no penguins fan i am a montreal canadiens supporter, but i just want u to know i happy i felt when the pens won the cup i watched the game and was supporting the pens throughout the detroit series and i was so happy for them oens because they have such a young team which was all prety much the same team as last year when u guys lost so they come back the next year against the smae team and show the m whos boss, a young team full of talent with great players goo for you pens fans!

  • well basically all i can say from here is are the penguins going to keep being good? or are they going to be the lightning and be a one year wonder team? and for all the idiots saying that hockeytown should be in pittsburg shut up, cuz just cuz u won, 1 stanley cup doesnt make u any better than the next team,

  • malkin, crosby, and staal aren't even in their primes yet, and you can't really call them a one year wonder if they make it to the stanley cup in back to back years

  • lol you just need to shut the fuck up and let that city enjoy their win. Wether or not they do good next year is irrelevant to the fact that they just won. And if you recall they lost to deroit in the finals last year so obviously they are good and it wasnt a fluke.

  • in my opinion red wings should have won. they had more skill....that is best the ones with most skill but i also think they should have came to the geme putting there hearts on the ice..and playin there best. cause if all that would have happened you know penguins would have had no chance...next year red wings all the way,,

  • I have always had the most respect for the Red wings. Yes they are a better team overall. But its close. these teams were pretty evenly matched. But the thing the Pens have that the wings dont is heart. The pens wanted to win the cup more than anything. The wings seemed liked they didnt care that much because they won it 11 times allready. And thats why I think the Pens will win it again next year. In a series rematch between the two. LETS GO PENS!

  • you are 1 million percent correct. back to back cups and super bowls

  • how do they have more skill please tell me, they turned the puck over way more than the penguins did all series. Malkin is the most skilled player on the ice, detroit only wins when osgood has amazing games

  • Homerism and red fan goggles at its finest! Hockey isn't played on paper. The Pens have plenty of their own skill but that's never acknowledged by arrogant homer Wings fans. If your team didn't put their hearts on the ice, then they didn't deserve to win.

  • hossa got played twice ! thats what happens when you play like that (most of the time) lol jks hossa is a grwat player and congrats to the penguins (my fav team) soon a poster of sid the kid holding the cup will be in every rbk and hockey store across the world lol

  • good series pitt, you guys beat the best......we'll get it next year

  • YAY!!!!!!!! GO PENGUINS!!!!!!!! My mom and i are big fans! i was outside two houses away when they won and i could hear her yelling when the clock ran out! She was so excited! The penguins worked hard and with all odds against them (literally, look it up) they managed to pull through! YAY!

  • suck on that hossa

  • Hey superbrrito (wtf type of name is that wow)

You are a lil b*&^% just like all the ppl that whined when the Steelers won the super bowl both friggan times. We are the effen city of champions get the fock over

  • No doubt, Boston is MF good but the NBA? Snore...

  • as true as that as, its still something we have (and are pretty damn good at) that pittsburgh doesnt have (and isnt good at)

  • I like Boston, I don't have a problem with them at all, Pitt university has had a pretty good team over the last few years though and almost made it to the final 4 this year. Not bad for a relatively small school.

  • not dissin the college sports, but i wouldnt consider any sports team no matter how good they are to be an addition to title town

  • True, true, but you kind of implied that no one from Pittsburgh is good at Basketball since we don't have an NBA team, that's not entirely true, is anyone on the Celtic roster actually from the Boston area?

  • no one likes the NBA anymore its a sport that is getting take over by european floppers and is filled with so much whining, physical play isn't allowed anymore, and awful officiating.

Want to compare the red sox payroll to the pirates payroll? congrats on your boughten championships that came during the steroid era...

and why are the patriots called new england and not boston? there has got to be a reason right? maybe its cause the team plays in foxburough which is 25 miles away from boston...

  • Nobody likes the NBA? try saying that to about 200 million basketball fans around the world.

boughten championship? you cant dis the sox for that and not say the same about the penguins.

And we play in FOXBORO because theres no room un-occupied land in boston to put a football stadium but the razor is a much sicker stadium then heinz so dont act like you know boston because you looked up online how far away foxboro is from boston.

were the city of champs. suck it up.

  • ya the only people that like the NBA anymore are euro trash and thats why its contaminated with so much flopping.

hockey has a salary cap in it moron, baseball doesn't. the penguins payroll is on par with all the other teams, boston payroll is 5 times more than most teams.

there is no unoccupied land within 25 miles of boston? You clearly don't know the history of when the boston patriots moved to foxboro.

Pittsburgh has won 2 championships this year, boston hasn't came close to 1

  • the only people that like the NBA are people who like watching their own teams they dont focus on the europeans you homo

salary cap or no the sox got the title the pirates didnt the pens did and the bruins didnt

i clearly do considering im a patriots fan. you tell me where the patriots would play in boston you smartass and dont even say fenway park because at this point thats beyond impossible

Boston is and always will be better then Pittsburgh stop wasting peoples time proving you wrong

  • Hey, Boston and Pittsburgh are both great sports towns. No need for this pissing match between the two cities. We both love our teams and root for them like crazy. Yeah the Sox are better than the Pirates (obviously lol, most teams are!), as far as football and hockey, both teams are great and have a lot of success. I think we should all just be happy, there are a lot of cities who wish they had our kind of success ya know.

  • lol seriously, I am a very avid sports fan and live in the most fake generic place in the country when it comes to sports, southern cali. Theres nothing but fake fans here that only rep their Lakers or Chargers flags and jerseys when their team is doing good. I wish I lived on the east coast where the spirit of sports fans is pure. Thats why I root for the penguins, and the celtics, and other teams of the sort cuz for the most part the fans are for real.

  • If you are wanting to live in a place like that then you should come up here to Canada :)

  • haha tru tru no better place to be a hockey fan than canada

  • Yeh..like Cleveland...lol

  • you pretty much proved my point by saying there is no place in boston that the patriots could play... Pittsburgh will always find a place for their sports teams to play, they won't have to move them 20+ miles outside of the city to some suburb. You also proved my point saying that neutral sports fans don't watch the NBA.

Boston clearly isn't better than Pittsburgh in sports this year, 2 championships to zero.

go talk trash on a video that isn't "the pittsburgh penguins win the stanley cup"

  • i already said theres no place in Boston for a football stadium. the patriots are still a team from boston though they represent new england and im not gonna let some fag from pittsburgh tell me im wrong about that. I proved to you that i dont like the nba but other people like it. and its a professional sport. Mario Lemeuix has got to be the greatest thing to happen to pittsburgh. and most pens fans are bandwagoners or people that believe sidney crosby is the best hockey player in the nhl

  • there is no place in boston for a football stadium or a football team? cool man, thats what i've been saying, they don't have a football stadium or team, such a great city.

Mario Lemeuix is the greatest thing to happen to the penguins, not going to argue that, i would totally agree.

Ive been a fan of the penguins since ive been born but I warmly welcome all the new hockey fans that love the pens, thats great for the sport and great for the team

  • no not the penguins, the entire city.

and i ment a football stadium. have u even been to boston?

and the new fans dont like the pens. the like sid the kid (who can blow me, cuz hes a douchebag and hes over rated

  • what does mario have to do with the steelers? nothing... you clearly don't know what your talking about. And stop talking like you speak for everyone, you have no idea who the fans like on the penguins, they could like malkin, they could like fleury, they could like tyler kennedy, and who cares if you don't like Crosby, he obviously is great player and how can you say he is overrated after being the youngest captain to win the stanley cup and scored the second most points in the playoffs

  • overrated?.... 3 out of 4 nhl seasons he has over 100 points. MVP, Art Ross, and Lester Pearson trophies. 63 playoff points in 49 games. And a Stanley Cup, all by the age of 21.

  • Lol, Mario Lemeuix is not the greatest thing to happen to Pitt. The pens yes, Pitt. no. If you asked anyone here they'd say Art Rooney or Andrew Carnegie, maybe a few would say Primanti Bros. too lol. Not everyone here is a bandwagon fan either and we don't all bow down at the church of Crosby. Quit buying into all the media hype please. I'd have to say if you asked me (and many others here) they'd say their faves are Malkin, Talbot, Fleury or Guerin.

  • okay i'll stop pretendin like i know the history of pittsburgh/ the area. if this other kid stop pretending like he knows boston so well.

  • haha i love Permanti bros. I live in pit. and GO PENS!!

  • where are all the red wings fans who talked smacked for the past two weeks? Your run is OVER - now, go try to find a job in your God-forsaken hell-hole of a city and STFU.

    Pens - CHAMPS!!!

  • to try to attribute the Pens victory to corrupt officiating is total unabashed madness...if you love hockey then you should give credit to a team that played their asses off to achieve an almost improbable victory IN Detroit ffs.....Awesome.

  • As an insane, die hard Red Wings fan I must say, CONGRATULATIONS to The Penguins and their fans. You deserve the cup. Thank you for a great series!!!

  • k, if detroit should have won, they would have., its clearly pens who did, so shutup haters.
