We decided to do the Jewish feast this year..We even celebrated Hanukkah this year..We stopped Halloween and easter almost 2 years ago...Its all pagan even Valentines day is pagan..We should only celebrate the LORD...Thanks for the comment
I still can't understand why many Christians today, even those who stamped out idolatry still continues to observe this pagan holiday. I've celebrated it a few times myself, but I've since withdrawn from celebrating it knowing it's origin.

As a practicing Pagan, I can tell you that your Yule Tree is a Pagan custom as are most of the other customs associated with Christmas, including the date. However, I feel that you must take responsibility for your lack of harmony with your family and not blame it on an plastic tree. I also want to point out that most colds go away in a few days regardless of the OTC medication you take or whether or not you have a fake tree in your house.

The star led the shepherds, and the Three Kings brought gifts. He was born in a stable because there was no room at the inn. We 'celebrate' the Birth of Christ on Dec25 because it was a convenient feast day already in the culture. We don't need trees, ornaments, or gifts.
