We experience separation in this life so the soul can learn or be imprinted with what it means to be a separate, unique, individual. There is no separation in heaven so the soul has to experience and learn it here iin the Physical Universe. Near death experiencers frequently comment on how they felt an overwhelming sense of "oneness and connectedness" in heaven. It may be impossible for that unique sense of "self" to develop in heaven.
