That's the kind of title you'd give to a parody. Anyone hearing the name would most likely raise an eyebrow rather than being interested.

Read the novels. AFAIK there are no plans for a second season. The third book starts after the end of the anime.

I know that baka-tsuki at least was working on it for a while. They have translated the first 2 volumes of "dai densetsu no yuusha no densetsu" (which begins after the anime ends) anyways. I am not sure if they are still working on it though, there is yet quite a lot missing and I don't think they've updated in the time I observed it.
