For protection you can pre-wash the eggshell...most people don't know but the bacteria is only on the outer shell, never in the inside of the egg. Food only becomes contaminated when it gets in contact with the outer shell.
@BobbyFilmz Not really. Some foods are esp susceptible to salmonella like eggs.Raw beef and Lamb for example are much less likely to carry salmonella. Vegies also are not salmonella friendly. These relatively safer foods could still carry salmonella in certain circumstances but they are much harder for salmonella to take hold than say Eggs.
@trent8002003 True when you say raw eggs, people automatically assume SALMONELLA, however I remember the '08 mass recall of cantaloupe and jalapeno peppers and that SHOULD'VE been the turning point; though I see that it was not. It may not be 'salmonella friendly', but that certainly doesn't exclude them from such things.
Also keep in mind that another issue here is attacking the culinary culture of Japan. I'm sure they are much less worried about trivial things such as salmonella w/ modern meds

I boil them for about 5-6 minutes cause I dont like my eggs

@midikota ふっ!このど素人が!醤油は掛けず、ご飯と卵をかき混ぜた奴を口に運び、上を向き口を開ける。
そこに醤油の入ったスポイトで一滴垂らす。この一滴が大事。塩分をコントロール出来、減塩に繋がりより健康的な食べ方となる。まぁこの食べ方を極めるには時間がかかるけどな、練習してためしにやってみなよ。

美味しかった。とても美味しかった。お腹一杯食べた。
・・・そうだけど、その後の1週間は地獄を見たそうな。
アメリカでは日本食の影響なのか知らんが、通信販売で生食用の玉子が売られているそうなので、それを買えば良かったんだね。

the risk of getting salmonella is THE SAME for consuming ANY raw foods. this isn't something exceptional to eggs.
