Some great responses here! I agree, lose some of the Technology and add a third wheel. Not spinning those Gyro's would probably increase distance between charges too. Of course a solar panel seems like a natural addition too, so it can recharge itself some and not rely 100% on an outlet.

No one will want this car unless they make it more convenient. That car looks like it'd be uncomfortable for long periods of time, no one can drive cross-country with this thing; unless they update it with the necessary tools of modern day vehicles.

No CD player, no space to move around, no luggage compartments, and just the look of it is a turn off. This car is FAR from being common on the streets. Like decades far.

With a max speed of 35mph and a maximum distance travel of 35 miles per charge I don't think anyone would even try to go cross country. It'd take about 1000 charges just to do so.

This is pretty much a good idea if you're running somewhere close; to the store, library, campus, practice (depending on what you play and size of the musical instrument/sports gear), etc..

I really don't see anyone trying to visit grandma for Thanksgiving in this thing or taking the kids to Disneyworld. LoL

You know, we already have bikes, scooters, and all sorts of "city" vehicles.  I think this would be good though because it combines the cover you need from the elements with the speed of a scooter or moped, and without the fossil fuel usage. That and it looks fun to drive.
