most soprano Rosinas turn Barbiere into a Mariah Carey act (throwing tasteless, out of place high notes and ornaments everywhere) , but Diana sounds great here.
the notes from 3:30 to the end are probably some of the best sounds i've ever heard out of a human being. I'm just astonished by the pitch! She sounds like a human Stradivarius... amazing man... just amazing.
I can't believe how effortless she makes this sound.

Very tasteful and in the period style (although the soprano Rosina...). Especially Mattei gives a very masculine and agile Figaro here. I like!

Does anyone know which recording this was from and if it's available for sale? (or was this a very fortunately opportune but unofficial recording?)

@xuxjin It was a radio broadcast from the Met in 2006. Legal recording, but unfortunately, not for sale! I still think they should have made a DVD...

for the record, I actually like Mariah Carey. ^v^ but Rossini is not the place for it.

her high notes are comparible to the explosion of an atomic bomb gigantic and super powerful

I don't suppose you have a recording of her perfoming Adele's Laughing Song from "Die Fledermaus" do you? That would be so awsesome!

Have you heard the duet from 'Der Rosenkavalier' Diana and Joyce sung in the Richard Tucker Gala (New Yourk's 'Avery Hall')? It was delicious! =)
