  • @SnyderPointMan Thanks a lot. I enjoy sharing them

  • I wonder what people in passing cars, saw and imagined, when you were repeatedly pounding the rock to form a mortar?

  • @inquisitivewolf I try to be very careful as I am working on projects that are in my lap :) I dont peck in traffic!

  • @gotrocksinhead I think pecking in traffic is a crime in Alabama.

Forgot to mention that I enjoyed the video and your adventure to the sea.

  • @inquisitivewolf :) thanks

  • I always wondered what an elk looked like. Nice rock!

  • @MiWilderness Yes we have lots of them here. Thanks

  • @gotrocksinhead I don't know, they looked suspiciously like cows to me... :P

  • @hellerZauberer I think they were COW elk.... :)

  • Wonderful Adventure! Nothing wrong with a little Dan time now and then. Take the time to wander about, do a little caveman house hunting, and let the mind wander too... : )

  • @saradreaming thats right! Thank you

  • Awesome cave, kind of stinks it's not more remote and peopleless...

  • @CGLouisiana I was very surprised to find a trail and people and litter and graffiti all over... I thought I had found some cave noone had ever seen before.

  • @gotrocksinhead It doesn't surprise me, people are very disrespectful of creation... I always take a bag with me when I go hunting or fishing or just go on a hike, so I can pick up peoples disrespect. Have a good one, keep on posting.

  • @CGLouisiana I do the same. Thanks

  • @CGLouisiana

good effort on the clean up dude. i take out a disrespect bag also. My names for it tho is not for family viewing. haha

  • Always enjoy your adventures and watching your mad skills...

  • @CGLouisiana thanks

  • Alone man time is important for our survival, keeps us somewhat sane. Dont tell my wife! Great man video! LOL ELK?

  • @LamokaGhost Heh, heh. those were COW elk...

  • Are you in Oregon?

    sercout

  • @sercout Come over someday. We will learn from each other.. Thanks. Dan

  • We have those elk too here. Nice cave you found there ... so, how did the archer taste?

  • @steintanz He was a little tough and stringy..

  • @gotrocksinhead ... "stringy" yeahahaha! ;o)=)

  • I saw that sign for the wildlifr safari whilr you were driving. We went there last year, fun place.

  • @redwoodfox small world..

  • Cool and good journey, my friend, nice place and nice finds. Have a good one, Sepp

  • @Waldhandwerk Thanks Sepp.

  • Only if everyday could be like this! Great video really enjoyed this one!

  • @TheTribeOfBenjamin That was what my life was like...before I got married :)

  • nice adventures. it vas fun to see

    fredde

  • @hobbexp Thanks Fredde.

  • nice slow elk, its hard being primitive in a modern society....now how many short bundles of cordage do you have?

  • @LivingHistorySchool those were cow elk... hmmm. I have a corner in my garage full of dogbane, nettles, cedar bark, iris leaves, cedar withes, spruce roots, ninebark bark, fireweed, tules, cattails, willow bark, split maple inner bark.... i think that is it. Im ready for cordaging!

  • @gotrocksinhead have you ever tried black berry, I tried that the other day after hearing a Native American story about rabbit and the black berry snare... strong stuff..and its every where

  • @LivingHistorySchool I havent but i heard they work but are a real pain... literally!

  • Do you ever get lucky and find an arrowhead every once and a while...?!

That cave sure looked like a good place to find one ....

Cool video as always bud, thanks for the show....

  • @MrRickjitsu Not really. Here in Oregon they have very strict laws against any collecting! It is really frustrating because no one shares anything they do find because they are afraid they'll get busted. I know a guy who was raided and he had collected and bought everything perfectly legal... and half his collection "mysteriously" disappeared before it was returned to him! I looked up the laws on collecting here and we can keep "the occasional surface point"

  • @gotrocksinhead Hate hearing stuff like that....good luck on a nice suface find for ya....

  • @gotrocksinhead American Antiquities Act of 1906, is a federal law.

  • Morning Dan...great little trip,I think you took the long way if you went through Hamburg.

  • @busycando Hey Greg. I do get a little sidetracked at times!

  • Don't peck and drive!

    ...

Those are also the reasons I like to go out by myself. The downside is filming. Much more difficult for me.

  • @SpartanJohns There are many times I go out and dont film at all. Those moments are mine :) ...and sometimes I just dont feel like filming.

  • Your videos are amazing and they make my day! Thank you

  • @RocksArentForEating Thank you. Im glad you enjoy watching. That makes my day! Dan
