  • poor kid

  • I think it was necessary to ask those questions, what if the father had run off at the sound of police sirens? Also, what else would this woman say for the 9mins on the phone? The operators are trained to ask these kinds of questions so the police/ambulance can get the clearest picture of the situation before they enter, things like knowing how to recognise the house by the brick and driveway must be really important if you've never been there before.

  • 'DAD IS WEARING A POLICE SHIRT!' 'Um a blue shirt' 'DAD IS WEARING A BLUE SHIRT'

  • why would it matter if it's the right or left leg?

  • Shout out to my class! Ms. Pruitt!

  • He sounds like he could use a hug

If I was there I would hug him and give him a simple kiss on the cheek

    He could use it :,(

Sweet heart I have been through the same thing and it's gunna be okay

    I'm 14 too but I went through it when I was 13

  • This is so sad but I'm really impressed by his calmness. Not many 14-year olds can give information to dispatchers that calmly in situations like that.

  • ugh i'm only 14. i can't even imagine how scary this would be :( i wish i could help him.

  • that took fucking 9 min for them to get there..wwwooooowwww the dispatched sounded so unorganized

  • @MrXXPSNGAMERXx read the top fucking comment

  • @TheCirrus45 fuck off bro

  • Poor kid I couldnt even Imigne I am a 16 year old boy and I am very close with my perents.

  • Who has heard of jahessye Shockley? Reply if u wanna knowww

  • Deadass why does it take so fuckiinq lonq

  • Like I said I'm not sure if it's him.

  • I THINK I know Josh, seriously my friend has him as a friend on xbox live. He seems to be doing ok now.

  • @KYLE3370 for real

  • @thomas225able Yea his name is Josh Brooks and he sounds just like him. He told my friend one time that he lost his parents in a car wreck. I mean if it is him, who would want to tell someone they're dad killed they're mom.Me and my friend still haven't figured out if it is or anything, and we aren't going to ask just incase, because if it is he would probably get upset. I know I would if someone asked me "hey did your dad kill your mom?" so yea we're never gonna find out.

  • @KYLE3370 dammm your lucky to be talking to him he should be 17 now

  • oh my god i feel so bad for the kid who would kill somebodys mother

  • how does something like this find its way to youtube ?

  • "Is the dog injured as well?"..who gives a fuQ!. I'd rather go fight and die with my mom then jus stand around helpless listening to people in the own safety of their own buildings..

  • People don't understand how hard it is to be a 911 operator; these people did an amazing job at keeping the child safe...it's hard to listen to, I can't even imagine:(

  • Dispatchers are fucking stupid. They always sound annoyed and want to interrupt you.

  • i hate dispatchers.... they dont let you talk, they try and talk over you too damn much lol

  • Oh my goodness he is so calm, about that I would be crying if my mom got shot

  • I would have thaught that they would tell him to go to the neighbors when he thaught of it instead of standing in the yard! He could have answered all those questions from a safe place! He sounded so scared and I was scared his father might look for Josh and shoot him before himself! But what do I know? Hope Josh is able to cope, move on,and have a wonderful life!

  • THESE UPDATES THEN SHE HAS TO VERBALLY RELAY IT TO THE POLICE DISPATCHER WHICH TYPES THEM AND VERBALLY DISPATCH THEM TO THE POLICE OFFICERS. SHE MUST KEEP THE CALLER CALM AND COLLECT DURING THIS ENTIRE SITUATION SO SHE CAN MAINTAIN THE CALLER ON THE PHONE. I KNOW BECAUSE I AM BOTH A 911 OPERATOR AND POLICE DISPATCHER SHE DID A GREAT JOB.

  • This is insane. That takes way too damn long.. Pizza gets to my house faster.

  • This dispatcher is fucking STUPID as fuck wow.. jesus christ..

  • Calm down?!?!?! Are fucking kidding his mom just got shot. I'd like to see them be calm in his situation.

  • poor kid

  • The 911 lady sounds like a fkken air head...

  • why would you cunts click like on this? you like the fact this scum bag has killed this boys mother

  • omg poor kid how awful agree with docholliday comments

  • How can you ruin your own sons life like that?

  • I was a former Dispatcher and believe me, its harder than it looks to deal with these situations. No 2 calls are never the same and you have to adjust and keep the caller focused.

  • U weren't there! Keep Your Opinions To Yourself!! Ever dispatched?? Didnt think so!! U never take anything for granted, people shoot air soft guns etc so U HAVE to ask...I WAS THERE!!! It is a rural street that is chopped up in several places & U have to locate the correct one. Gotta love monday quarterbacks. The dispatcher did a GREAT job! She not only took the call but dispatched it as well!! Would love to see you all EXPERTS do it right!! Never pass judegment unless U can relate, I Can!!!

  • poor kid, so sad. I hope he is ok, i dont know how he will ever move past this. What a terrible thing to happen.

  • 9!! operators are they from china/

  • @HarmonicAttempts their trying to calm him down, so he doesnt go into shock. Its standard procedure to keep a person talking.

  • omg it happen on my birthday! omg

  • POOR KID HE DID A REALLY GOOD JOB I HOPE HE IS DOING OK

  • I'm speechless...Poor kiddo. RIP Peggy and burn in hell Darrell

  • Oh my gosh. How awful. Praying for you Josh!

  • Poor young man!!! Where ever he is, I wish Josh well!!!!

  • 'do you feel safe' i would have been like dude, my father just shot my mother, do you think i feel safe. wtf kind of question is that.

  • This never happened to me. But I felt sorry for him, he really is a brave kid, he could maintain calm for a while.

  • that dispatcher is an idiot.

  • @lizzyboo1992 THE DISPATCHERS BOTH DID A GOOD JOB AND SO DID THE KID !

  • @Musicgravity1

yea...i mean if he was close enough to respond to her..the dad mustve been in the vicinity right?!

  • "Shot as in gun?" No, shot as in foam disks. What an awful dispatcher.

  • @Musicgravity1 because she was still alive at that point and he wanted to re assure her that he is on the phone with the police

  • What a terrible dispatcher..

  • It took them 10 mins to get there!! WTF!!!

  • Wow, he's so calm it just crazy, i would've been Crying and screaming maybe even running.. And why are they asking him 100 questions?!? Get there and help them!

  • bad parents. mom musta done somethin to PISS him off, and the dad was weak enough to ruin their sons life to make himself feel better over it. bad parents

  • @Obzy666 you cant call him mother a bad parent. you dont know the situation. the father could of been a alcoholic or abusive or jealous ya know

  • @Obzy666 Dude! no one makes anyone that pissed off. the father obviously was abusive, and took it to the end. he was a piece of shit. if they're gonna kill their spouse and commit suicide, why not start with the suicide?? much better idea.

  • I always find it frustrating how long it takes for the police to actually get to a crime scene like this especially when it's going on.

  • @derekxnl i agree, ten minutes is to long... if they responded quicker they could have saved this kids family even mother.....

  • STOP ASKING FUCKING QUESTIONS AND GET THERE MOTHER FUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @vicxxoo

Of course....the people asking the questions aren't the ones actually responding...but getting as much info for those who are responding...and although 10 min seems like a long time, even running code it takes time to get there....unless I'm mistaken teleportation has yet to be invented

  • It's funny people keep guns for safety and yet stuff like this happens

  • poor child.......me as a man can say this........please yall stop hurting our wemen......lord have mercy on josh.....smh

  • the women dispatcher's voice is giving me a fucking headache!!

  • Once he starts crying I cry...

I hope they let the boy keep the dog(s) whoever he is living with now.

  • Wow the dispatchers did an amazing job. So did Josh. I hope he's in a good home, now.

  • All questions were helpful. Many of them were being relayed to the boy from units on the way - needing information. I think the dispatchers handled this call in a most excellent manner. They elicited helpful information - they kept Josh calm and focused and out of danger - you can hear the female dispatcher keying information throughout the call to keep the units en route informed. The poor boy started to lose it several times & their questions helped him hold on.

  • Also the more exact locations are pinpointed, the better the injured can be helped. Knowing where the exact injury is - what weapon was used - their condition - can all help the emergency personnel to more quickly address whats needed to save a life. When a weapon is involved, police need to know for their safety & for innocents nearby to be safe. They have to stage & secure the scene before EMS can go in to treat an injured person. Information is golden in saving lives & keeping everyone safe.

  • So many people criticize the dispatchers for asking questions. Emergency units are dispatched the second the caller location is confirmed, even before in some cases and the location is confirmed to police/medical/fire while enroute. They are NOT delayed because of the questions. They are important for so many reasons. Dispatchers are trained to elicit as much information as possible. They help the caller to stay calm - to focus - to stay safe - to not feel alone - many reasons.

  • @mexikat

They're not delayed? HA bullshit. My aunt was having a heart attack and I called 911, and the fucking retarded dispatch person wouldn't let me tell them what was wrong, they just kept asking me questions about her medical history. Once I finally asked if they were sending help, she said "I'll send them over there right now" TWENTY MINUTES PASSED AND MY AUNT DIED. ALL BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T SEND HELP RIGHT AWAY.

  • @mexikat this needs to be understood so much more.

  • Poor baby, I just want to give him a hug.

  • damn that is awful

  • poor baby :(

  • One of the reasons they keep asking questions is to distract the caller from what is actually happening, to give them something else to think about other than the horror. It can help people to calm down instead of getting hysterical if they have to think about inconsequential things. Also, it can make them feel as though they are doing something to help, that they are not totally helpless.

  • Too many damn questions. They could be dead before anymore gets there, bc of so many questions.

  • @Chirsty76

Questions from the dispatcher in no way delays the police or fire response...it is helpful to the responding units

  • @Tiggy2022 oh ok!

  • this fucking women, they are so fucking stupid, why they ask so many fucking questions, when someone it's in shock ,and as the child says in the leg and that fucking man say 'OH'...

stoppp asking him you bitch and send someone to check out!!!!

    you stupid hore

  • @hexe1466 I know right! That lady was dumb.I'm glad the guy on the phone got to talk to the kid.

  • God, that woman isn't helping... They know what's happening and the building, they don't have to ask what the dad's name is or what clothes she's wearing, you can do that afterwards... you see a guy with a gun standing over a woman so it's not hard to miss. I pray for this boy to help him recover as much as he can.

  • i know they probably have to figure out a safe way of entering the scene but i really wish it didnt take ten minutes or more for cops to get to the scene :( everytime an ambulance is called they are there in 3 mins...i feel horrible for that boy...he tried to stay so composed...god bless him

  • any man who can kill a woman, especially the mother of his child is a fucking pathetic waste of flesh, and was a failure as a man from the moment he took his first breath out of the womb.

  • i went to his middle school and the poor kid still came that week to pass his end of semester exam. thats true strength

  • @LLARZS I hope his mom didn't die!

  • @Chirsty76 yes, she passed.

  • @LLARZS Aww, that's so sad! I hope he's safe

  • Poor boy. =[

I feel sooo bad for him.

  • That's just horrible, can't possibly imagine how it feels to wake up one morning, thinking it's an ordinary day and then have all that happen just like that. Just horrible =(

  • wtf....is all those questions really necesssary.... man just get to the damn place and help help this person shit.. omg i would of done went offf on the police...

  • @Peace16Girl they ask all the questions to keep the guy focused and to stop him panicking. When you panick you're just as likely to run out in front of the gun to help the mother. Your likely to put yourself in danger when you panick and so they keep you talking to keep you calm and clear. mind you they also get helpful information asking all those questions. When you're the kid in that situation, it is also very reassuring to know that somebody is there when your parents fail you

  • @Peace16Girl As soon as someone calls 911 the police are on there way..the operator is asking questions and tranferring them to the police so they get a better understanding whats going on. So they know if they need to send extra medical help or something. So lets say someone got bucked off a horse and was hurt, the operator would know that they need an abulance..they could tell the paramedics that the person is breathing and just has a leg injury and they dont need to send a helicoptor.

  • my parents did this to me when I was 15 years old, except that only my father ended up. He blew his own head off. Now I am 46 years old, and it still bothers me.Good luck to you young Josh and may your soul heal

  • @iloveknitting1 u serious, i couldnt even imagine....

  • This dumb woman can NOT hear and has to REPEAT everything, Thats too much time.

  • "you say shot, does this mean gun shot?"

Wow..No, he meant shot with a bow and arrow.

    There's your sign.

  • @paranormaliowa718 no, they shot his photo

  • "shes been shot" ..so this is medical?"

does a bear shit in the woods?

  • @TheWorldWideWar Does the pope wear a beanie?

Does a one legged duck swim in a circle?

  • These police are asking very irreverent questions. "So how are you doing today josh? Good good. How are you doing in school? Thats good to hear. Want to come over for support? Oh - you have family plans? Gotcha. "

The only information you need: Who (Dad vs Mom),what (Gun killed mom), when(2 minutes ago), where (555 first street), why (dads a dick)

  • @BufferOverflowAttack

They're trying to keep him calm, for crying out loud.

  • fuckin 10 mins for the cops to arrive are you serious

  • 2:05 - "I'm on the phone, mom." Did I hear this correctly? :s

  • "When you say gun shot you mean gun shot??" No, bitch, he meant she just got her H1N1, you fucking idiot!

  • hes in shock

  • That poor boy! I can't believe how sick some people can be!

  • This poor poor baby. I can't imagine that kind of horror. I hope that man burns for eternity beyond life. The evil to do that in front of your kid let alone kill your own wife and mother of your child. Ugh... I just dont understand.

  • How could this kid possibly be this calm while all of this is going down?

  • Shock maybe?

  • Man that's sooo sad.

  • This poor child....I cant imagine what he is going through.........

  • I feel so badly for this boy, there is nothing anyone can do for him to help him.

  • That poor kid. What a nightmare, and he kept himself together unbelievabley well. God, I hope he's getting the help he needs.

    Senseless horror.

  • @TheJediCharles its not a nightmare if she was only shot in the leg dumbass smh!!

  • @AJ41069

You're in no position to call anyone a dumbass.

If a kid had to witness one of his parents attempt to murder the other, it's hardly less than a nightmare for it to have hit a less than life threatening area... THIS time.

If you don't agree, don't have any kids of your own.

  • SEND THE COPS. write a book on your time. 911 has instant address. I wonder in the cops are enven on the way yet
