CrisisLab, this is just sheer perfection. I wanted to find an example of the film noir narration that was conspicuously absent from the recent «MaxPayne» film, and I couldn't have be blessed with just a brilliant madcap rendition of the oft-unnecessary but gritty narration that really sets the mood. Amazing work! Truly a pleasure discovering your vids!
We checked out your sketch comedy videos and would like to extend and invitation on behalf of the New York Television Festival. The Festival has just launched the PGP-NYTVF Comedy Talent Search, and is inviting sketch groups, comedians, and improv performers to upload their short sketches to MSN Soapbox for the chance to star in a new TV pilot Feel free to visit our website for more information on our other contests or to contact us.
Very enjoyable. The chipotle dinner joke cracked me up. Suggestion: When you're narrating, let the character say his piece, then return to narration, instead of talking over him.
awesome!!! great writing on the voiceovers!!! beautifully shot and cool characters!!! loved the shot near the beginning panning around the shotglass! can't wait to see more!

Better than a home movie but worse than anything that would ever be distributed. Except for a Michael Moore movie.

Good, but why are you narating over dialogue? It's just dumb.

It's a spoof of the noir crime genre. It's not dumb, that's what they were like. It's clever.

Hey, what type of camera did you shoot that with? Cause that shot panning around the Jack Daniel's being poured is really... great.
AthertonAcro 5 years ago
Thanks.
The camera is the Panasonic HVX200, with a home-made dolly (courtesy of DP Ben Aein) for that whiskey-pour-shot.
