Were those judges on crack? I cannot believe Very Yip would have sanctioned any of that. The monstrosity that Antonio put in that family's living room looked like the back half of a gypsy carnival caravan. Dragging bug infested garbage off the street and putting it in my home is not my idea of good design or good sanitary practice. Shabby Chic is NOT in. Basically if you want your home shabby, don't clean it or repair anything.

Very disappointed in the outcome of DesignStar 2009. That putrid green color on the bedroom wall will go down in HGTV history as the closest comparison to the vomit scene in the Exhorcist. Ugh

Antonio designs like a boy with big crayons. He's proved that you can trust him to do whatever he decides is best regardless of what the client wants. Hgtv apparently wanted a Guy Fieri type but without the personality.
