Norman was my private instructor when I was a student at GIT in 1986, and he already sounded as good then as he does now. So he's been at this for quite some time. When I first heard Norman, he was playing the larger body version of the Ibanez GB with heavy flatwound strings, and he sounded more like Mr. Benson than anyone I'd heard before. He's really made this style his own, as we know . . . and Norman's about the nicest cat you'll ever meet, too.

Norman is something special. So many great songs. It is hard to believe that he is not better known. He is like the Marcus Miller of guitar.
