Arsenio was not that funny. His monologue consisted of him telling a joke then bouncing around the stage for 5min. Eddie Murphy during the 80's gave him a couple of parts in his movies because they were friends. Even with all the big celebs that appeared on this show and with the hooping and barking from the audience. You still need substance and that is what Mr. Hall and Pat Sajak both lacked. However give them credit for one thing they opened the door for more crappy talk show hosts!
