The only thing that might negate the correct call is when the referee blew his whistle, which you can't hear on the replay. Other than that, it looks like a piss poor call and piss poor review

no because the facemask happened on THAT play. Just because they didn't have the entire play in this vid doesn't make the facemask forgettable. It was obvious. Fist full of facemask. Shoves him right down.

Hey, Stephen Hawking - the replay was about where he went out of bounds (which the booth totally blew, of course). Some comment about touching the facemask makes as much sense as me commenting about the 30 holds not called on the BC OL in that game. Pointless.

I was at this game and could not believe the amount of blown calls. There were two pass interference calls blown that both favored BC...the Boston sports teams must be paying the officials in addition to illegally filming other teams.

Holds galore in this game! BC even stated that they had to hold to stop the GT onslaught, and if you watch the video its evident that the refs were missing something collaring is not a legal offensive line technique seriously did they change the holding rules cause apparently collaring jersey pulling blocking in the back and tackling is no longer holding by any ref's opinion

the ball carrier can grab the mask its considered a stiffarm. now if he gave the defender the ball and then threw him down using his facemask then it would be considered a foul, and yeah he got thrown down either they should have given tech a 15 yard gain (via penalty) been a holes and said he was out which he clearly wasnt but thrown the flag b/c it was then considered way past the play, or given Gt the first down and ignored the penalty (which would be wrong)

Hey now, it's not really BC's fault that ACC Refs are the worst in America. Watch any bowl game done by an ACC officiating crew and you'll see these guys disgrace themselves every year.
