@WackyModder84 no it is still a mod... just download the hrppolymer pack, it comes with everythign you need to play.. open eduke and the dropbox click autoload and check polymer, click launch or start and it will show a thousand errors and warnings before ti loads and then voila...

Sorry, I have a HD5450 but Polymer runs kinda slow... 21FPS in 1920 x 1080...

It ran around 300FPS in 1920 x 1080 in Duke3dw... halp?

I downloaded the 400-something MB HRP installer that comes with the highest-res texture pack. Unfortunately, whenever I upgrade EDuke32 to the latest version to get the polymer feature (the HRP installer doesn't have it), my hi-res texture pack gets replaced with the older pack that isn't as crisp.

This is seriously just as good as what would have been "Duke Nukem Forever". Duke Nukem is lucky to have a very talented, loyal, and dedicated fanbase that has the ability to keep our beloved Duke Nukem alive by simply enhancing what we loved in the first place. Duke Nukem Forever would be awesome, even if the game wasn't that great, but I'm definitely content with reliving Duke's original bad ass story over and over with alittle new flair thrown in the mix.

@Jdog8998 I accept that argument. I don't normally like when good things are changed. But obviously they would retain the original Duke3d in its entirety (graphics, gameplay, sounds). This version would be, well, IS, optional. I really hope they somehow managed to create new epiclly awesome things for this Duke 4 Ever game, but deep down, I just want MORE of what is already damn near perfect. It's always hard to reproduce perfection, but I'd love it if they could for this game.

@TutorialTelevision eduke32 by itself renders in software and con be configured for modern reolutions in laptops and widescreen monitors. Polymer (with or without 3d models) does require a modern 3d card but is optional.

I love Duke 3D, i've been playing it since i was 3 or 4, i think i much prefer the original graphics though, they just seem so vibrant, and welcoming, and have an upbeat kind of mood, i don't know, that how i played it as i was young, so i guess its some sort of nostalgia. I mainly love duke so much, because of Caribbean, best game expansion ever!! I would actually like to see this on Caribb, i probably won't like it, but would be cool.

I hope this is only to emphasize the light effects, but don't put this in the final game, because it will change completely the usual gameplay of duke nukem, and that would suck.
