fntsywlkr.... the majority of violent crime in Jamaica takes place in the inner city ghettos which represent a small part of Jamaica and is mainly gang on gang warfare. Violent crime is not everywhere in Jamaica ,that is why Jamaica still has a million or so tourists from North America who are not afraid to come to Jamaica and most will tell you that they felt safe while there.
And certain parts of America have a lot of violent crime as well.
