There are plenty of institutes and Universities around the country willingly taking participants for experiments concerning memory. Time and time again it has been demonstrated that through self-affirmation, and re-iteration by another supporting person, memories can be formed from events that never occured. The question I have is are the memories being built out of something that was already there, or has the person purged the previous memory and is reconstructing a new one that coincides with reality or is there a gray area between the two?
