i know this is curious but just the same i`m gonna ask. Saw Reb at a clinic years ago and he talked Andy up so highly talking about "bee-bop phrasing" that Andy put Reb onto. It seemed Reb had a tremendous amount of respect for Andy.

Although both players are highly accomplished in their craft, I think Timmons' fingers are much more versatile. Reb mentioned in his own words that he hardly practices anymore. This must be why his playing, over the years, haven't really progressed as it should have. Sort of reminds me of Malmsteen in that respect.

I think the reason he doesn't drop many notes is because he practices with his eyes closed the majority of the time. In the 90's he did a clinic and he told us that he practices like that all the time. Then, he preceded to lean his head back, close his eyes and wail on this song for about 3 mins all over the neck. It was really amazing. Anyway, try working on it. It does help... even though very few of us will ever have the skill of Andy. Cheers

honestly, after all the years of listening, i would have to say this is one of the best instrumental guitar songs i have ever heard. All of the chord progressions fit in so well and the mood of the song is amazing. Andy Timmons is one of my fav guitarists ripping in every style of guitar..

Andy is definetly the most un-robotic player there is! His playing is the way it should be! If you are n anyway in tune with his music, you will find he is one of the msot soulful energetic, emotional gifted players on the planet. His new record "Resolution" is an amazing trio performance with one guitar through & through. I don't think I have ever heard or seen anyone play like him. He's off the charts amazing!
