Second DO NOT sit and dwell on them or let them stop you from doing what you love. Third what fuels them is anxiety and fear and you must not allow yourself to have either this may take time. And last your mind can play twisted games with you for sure but this DOES NOT mean your losing your sanity! KEEP THE FAITH NO MATTER WHAT!!!!

That thought about harming may go for a week, then another thought about something else comes and it's disgusting.
i often hv the sexual thoguht , like for example when i see a girl who wears skimpy clothes i hv thoughts of hving sex with her and stuff like that. Im afraid 1 day i will really do it to a girl . So any advice? i used to hv murder thoguht but its less .

again try to just let them come to you and relax. let them be and soon enought they will start disappearing because your mind will get "bored" with a thought. and just know that you're not going to do this no matter what is running through your mind :)
More word needs to be out there about the intrusive thoughts related to this disorder, because many people are scared to come forward with things like intrusive thoughts when they don't know its caused by ocd. They have a fear that they might be capable of it. understanding that its ocd has helped me loads! I don't feel as much anxiety about the thoughts knowing that they are just ocd thoughts
this girl i have started seeing. i like her a lot and she has both OCD & OCPD. im trying my hardest to understand these so i can understand her, it is hard.
Why were you talking about OCPD in the begining? Never mind that.. I've never acted on my OCD before but the extent of my thoughts have no bounds. A mixture of murder, rape (both ways), and for some odd reason constant flipping... (I have no clue what the flipping is about)
Someone once told me that if your brain keeps repeating things that you dont like. Then there is something that needs to be fixed. Try letting the thoughts come in slower and slower to the point where you can handle them. If you relax and realize no one else can see it but you then its alot easier. Anytime I would try to force the thoughts out they just got worse. Wich was why I tried to kill myself before. If you fight it, it fights back. Just let it happen and soon you'll be used to it.

Its a comfort zone, if you let it in all at once it will only distress you and make it worse. If you take it little by little you can tune yourself to relax when the thoughts come back.
I'll make it simple, yes ignore the thoughts. The thoughts that are coming back make you uncomfortable right? So yes just learn to deal with the fact that you dont have control over it. If you do breathing techniques you can settle yourself down and your emotions wont go through the roof because it makes you feel scared, violated or anything else. I recommend meditation, if not that try not to dwell on thoughts to much. Go excercise and that may take away some of the stress it puts on you.
Exactly, It acctualy didnt take very long. I tried to commit sucide because of my OCD about 6 years ago. But 2 years later I found out how to deal with it and started managing in as little as a couple of weeks to a month.

Hey. I don't think you should try to distruct yourself. That's what I do but it doesn't help with the treatment although it happens in the short run. You just have to let the thoughts be there but don't respond to them. If you imagine killing your sibling with a knife while you're cooking, don't hide away all the knifes. Just keep thinking it, knowing that it will not happen, and after a while, it will go away. I know it is hard :(
