@onyxbronx Indeed, it is him..he was crying because he just finished 2nd after replacing the injured Nanini...I think he never believed to have such a chance to be on the podium...
@onyxbronx Yes...that was quite ironic and a bit unfair, but Schumacher was much better perspective for the team and after all, F1 is an "Piranha club", as Eddie Jordan found out :)
Seeing Ayrton always makes me sad, but it also makes smile. He was so incredible to watch for so many reasons. He made racing look easy...everything he did seemed effortless...yet inhuman. I wish F1 today had someone like him.
@avfcmatt1982 : Very disresptful words to use here. When Senna is involved try to keep your foul mouth closed. I love Senna, and hate you for dissing him like this.
This guy has goosebumps. One can only hope to see racing of this caliber again some day. Arguably the greatest racing in the history of mankind, not this watered down F1 of today.
Ayrton Senna Im sad to say died when on my second Birthday never saw in race in perosn or tv but would have loved to i may have been two but i can say looking back was a bad birthday
great epilogue of real f1, full of heroes, cars had respect and soul; and another SUPERB video by Antti, great work man; btw - that woman at 1:14 is very pretty
"Racing, competing, is in my blood. It's part of me, it's part of my life; I've been doing it all my life. And it stands up before anything else" - Ayrton Senna da Silva
Ayrton fought in the decades which he share the track with greats champions like Prost, Piquet and Mansell, and front to others good drivers like AlboretoRosbergLauda (who don´t was in his best times when he was with Ayrton, inclusive winning in 84)Nannini Patrese Boutsen, etc.
This video reflex the magic of that F1 and the magic of Ayrton, with his unic goal: WIN, maybe the best driver of all the time.
In my opinion the best are Ayrton and Juan Manuel Fangio, which know and respect each other
please you should do a video with all the best F1 drives non-champions like alesi, berger, patrese,de angelis, coulthard, etc. please please cheers from U.S.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow men, after seeing this, actually i'm not happy i'm depressed. Bye for always to the natural F1...it reminds me also, of the Group B rally cars, what a shame we now live in such an artificial and to much concerned with safety to makes fall in love by the sport like we did back then.
@rubenvalente i agree , safety and motorsport dont mix . the more safety you add the less heroic it seems . no one makes you race . we respected them for the massive balls and the mentality to go out not knowing really whether you were coming home or not . true heroes . to look death in the face and laugh ...... i miss these days
@rubenvalente I couldn't have said it any better.. but you forgot to mention that the race tracks of today have no magic at all (to many micky mouse cornders/chicanes :/ ).. i'm still sad what they did with the Hockenheimring, or with the bus-stop chicane at spa.. :( '84-'94 was the golden age of the formula 1
Very special video, like always. Please Antti, make video about Dan Wheldon. It would be so delightful to see all great Dan´s moments in video by you.
El mejor corredor de todos los tiempos... Ayrton fue, es y sera el ejemplo a seguir para cualquiera que realmente le guste este deporte... Con el se fue la verdadera F1. Gracias por el video... Realmente impresionante...
After the accident at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend, where Dan Wheldon was killed and so many other drivers were involved, this video is more important than ever.
It's why we are such passionate fans. It's why we stay up to late hours just to see the race across the world. This sport means so much to us and we wouldn't have it any other way. Thank You Antti for reminding me.
All i can say... Today the INDY CAR racing driver... Dan Wheldon... Died in a crash... I know its not F1... But even with today safety standards... Racing is NOT SAFE! Rest In Peace... :(:(:(:(:(
@IMOLAND11. Thank you for reminding us of Dan Wheldon and of the dangers of the sport. The danger is there for all of motorsports. I just watched the five lap tribute done by fellow drivers for Dan. He was a two-time winner of the Indy500.
From Suomen tasavalta to Eternity!! I told in Facebook you about a footage you must use in a video to Senna. Please take in consideration my opinion Antti.
Great one, but I have to say 2 things which I didn't like that much:
- in my opinion, there's slightly too much of Senna (I understand it's focused on him, but also presenting other drivers from the era) and while most of the other known names from era is well shown, Piquet seems to be only in very few scenes
- bigger thing - there are few shots which have bad picture ratio, not by much, but it'd be better if whole video had good ratio (spinning Larrousse has it wrong for example)
Antti, another beautiful and moving motorsport video. Fantastic title, which I am guessing is based upon the WW2 film "From Here to Eternity" maybe? So appropriate for our hero, Senna. But the drivers and the engineers are all heroes to those who believe in F1. I hope maybe you will bundle all your videos into a motorsport CD or maybe a feature length film. You are the best in motorsport video. Congratulations for another great film.
I would like to thanks all these drivers... Because of them we can enjoy racing that much!!! Antti you made amazing movies :D Keep it up and thanks!!!
