you say that the speedos read wrong but not all do, that is unless the warning signs that tell you your speed read 5-12% faster too, because i go through them at 100kmh it reads me doing 100kmh and its the same for 160kmh too. it may differe at top end but can go the other way too as in it may read less than what he is doing not all ways over.

you mean the 186mph mark? most bikes when stock have an electronic governor that only allow them to go up to 186same with the busa. its to avoid legal crap. but if you were to disable that governor like whats been done to your bike probably they can hit pretty much near 200 and maybe above.

having ridden both, the ZZ-R 1400 is by far the superior bike.

trust me, take out the gentlemans restriction, tie down the suspension, add a set of scorpion exhausts, and a K&N air filter, and you have a bike that out performs AND out manouvers the GSX1300R (even when it is fitted with the same extras as mentioned on the ZZ-R) by far.

on the track, on the roads (and yes, i mean UK roads) on tour, in a race, or just a gentle joy ride, id far rather put my cash into the ZZ-R.

The ZX has 100 more cc's than a busa and is only a couple tenths of a second faster. Having owned 2 busa's, it takes very little to make them much faster. So keep that speed crown warm, Suzuki is developing a new Hayabusa - a 400 pound, 200 rear wheel hp monster.

The ZZR1400 is marginally faster than the Hayabusa, and the speed is 'only' 186 because of a gentlemans agreement between the major Japanese companies, which includes all Hayabusas made since 2000.

The fastest production Hayabusa was the pre 2000 model capable of 195.

250mph is not possible without at least 700bhp.
