Shielded, changed pots to CTS 500k full size (there is room) and changed all wiring except PU wires to Gibson wires, makes one hell of a difference in tone i.e. fuller and richer, volume is increased and the control you get with the new pots is more defined. Also, installed two tone caps, Made in USA by RS GuitarWorks .022 specifically made for guitars. Great upgrades, all it needed then was a professional fret leveling, my PUs are set up according to Fender.com and the sound is great. RocknRoll
