Actually, the one I made in the video is still in use after several weeks. Make sure you use alcohol-free gel and double up the condoms to prevent any leaks. Condoms are really strong and are perfect for this type of flexibility and durability. Be careful with the types of activities you engage in and for extra comfort, I suggest a good jock strap. Sure, this is a delicate piece of equipment, so I wouldn't suggest any activity that would jeopardize its integrity (a swift kick in the groin, for example). Also, adding another condom to the "testicles" would provide an additional layer of protection.
