I AM Dutch, born here, just like my ancestors. I know the countries in Europe, all I'm saying is you can't talk about "THE European countries" regarding any issue, because every country is different. It's not like the USA. Europe is a continent. The E.U. started with Belgium, France, Italy, Luxembourg, West-Germany, Netherlands.

ANY European would know that Russia (with all its Eastern European satellites), Germany, Spain, Portugal and Greece are more than half of Europe an territory.

@ClarksonsinUSA For your age you are not intelligent at all.There are clips with American inventions check them out if you want.And I only put a few important European inventions and you must admit they are pretty damn good inventions that changed our lives.Most american inventions date after ww2 and many american inventors have foreign roots.Well actually they all have foreign roots.
Engine,antibiotics,,train,telephone etc. these inventions were crucial for the evolution of our society.

@ClarksonsinUSA USA doesn't dominate anything.Most of Intel employees are from India,china south america,Mexico,Vietnam etc.Inter is an international corporation yes it's american but doesn't have to do anything with americans.If Intel would have only US employs it would probably go in bankruptcy.The same with IBM Microsoft and AMD.These corporations were founded in US but now the brains that created their technologies are not americans.US bought most of its technology.

But you have to admit USA is a place with strange priorities, A Defence budget of $548.9 Billion for 2011, yet only $46.7 Billion a year on Education. But does this make it an American invention? But.. in fact it was not this Scot who invented the phone, but an Italian: Giuseppe Meucci. He invented it in 1855, because he need became parallelized and needed a system to communicate with his wife. Do some research please.
