Great rave stuff. Hypnotic and mesmerizing! Mind checking out my GB song and letting me know what you think? I'd appreciate it a lot. We can all learn things from each other. Everyone has their own unique viewpoint and musical sense. Its great to hear what everyone is doing with Garageband.
haha this is good. i keep trying to do something like this in media on the macs at school but i dunno how to get a snap so it doesn't sound off when i use the window keyboard
Awesome stuff man :D the drums at the beginning bored me straight away though, I'd have maybe added something before it or something really quiet over it... or even just changed the beat a little bit. I just think that beat has been used too many times already. Keep it up though.
@gnarmadillo one way would be to go to imovie take a pic or a clip and then go to the music note button on the right side click it and there you will see all your music on your hardrive itunes and garageband
I cant seem to make my stuff stay in time on garage band as I type it all out with the musical keyboard and whatnot. It all sounds sloppy and "live" sounding.
Also how do you make stuff fade and whatnot?
I cant seem to make stuff this fast at all? Help me please!
Double click the audio track. Use 'timing enhancement' and/or slide the notes around to where you want 'em.
Select the track. Click on 'track volume'. It opens a window just beneath that track. Click on the line to place markers, & slide them up and down to change volume.
Tempo adjustment is at the very bottom center of g/b window.
damn dog major props. its nice to c someone with some actual skill killin it on GB. there r so many ppl who just usethe loops and have no creativity. nice job
once you've finished your musicical typing, double click on the green audio track. down the bottom there will be all these little squares representing the keys you pressed while recording. highlight them. then on the left theres a thing called timing inhancement. chose one close to what you think you recorded, ie. fast riff 1/32, simple bass riff or drumming etc 1/8. you'll get it pretty easy. makes your songs sound sick.
starting at 0:27 did you type out all those notes or was it some sort of digital stepper thing? if it is please let me know how you made it, i want an arpigator in garageband so bad
me and my friend made an awesome 30 sec techno song at school today but we didn't get to finish coz the bell went and we weren't allowed to stay back.
really good man, you used no loops? thats great! I used loops in mine, and just a little Keyboard MIDI in some, please take a look at mine and tell me what you think
you go into the editor thing. its the scissor symbol at the bottom right i think. then you align all the beats by dragging each individual green square into line.
for the main melody cheerful trance, then techno kit for the bass drum, dance kit for the hi hat, hip hop kit for the clap and somethin synth bass for the bass on the offbeat! enjoy
i just recorded four beats of the techno kit bass drum then looped that. then the dance kit hi hat on the off beat with the synth bass. the clap every second bass drum kick
Simple yet engaging trance song. Kudos to forza for a brilliantly designed piece of music which still has great potential, and will perhaps attain perfection.
Personally, I'm hoping the song will be developed, so that it sounds richer and fuller, in addition to an already remarkable tune.
Also, agreeing with orangedonkey, the transition at 2:00 needs working. The melody changes abruptly and has no segue into which is quite a nice denouement to the song.
Garage Band is a default music player that comes with a new MAC computer so too produce such great sound and vibe from a free piece of software is excellent.
A great melody kicks in at 1:03 which IMO deserves praise. The transition at 2:00 needs a slight adjustment, but overall it sounds excellent.
Perhaps a new slower song Forza for the house lovers such as myself would be really pleasing.
Have made such a great thing out of such a basic utility, this must be recognised.
nice i realy need some help how to get that trance sound

how do you make that fast drum beat on 1:29? thanks
DjSzymanski94 1 year ago
@DjSzymanski94
Its a snare roll over the main beat i think
It starts out kinda slow, like a snare hit on each of the bass drums,
then gets faster and faster
thats what i hear anyway
hope this helps
