Hey Gab nice job! It seems you've lost SOME weight since you came in... Someone here said it's too little, too late, but what about a global commercial blockade to wooden goods? It's always a quetion of demand.
Deforestation of the Amazon rainforest has been going on for many years at a catastrophic rate. Each year, loggers turn an area the size of Switzerland into desert, destroying the habitat not only of the wildlife, but also of the indigenous people who have lived in the rainforest for centuries, pushing them all on the brink of extinction. This raid by the Brazilian Police is too little, too late.
Yeah But being brazillian i hve to say Americans Europeans and Asians arre With Brazil destroyin AMAZONIA FORESTS. So is everybodys responsability to fix this mess !
I disagree with radicalGod. There should be legalized commercial activities in the forest, as long as they are closely foreseen. There are people who live in the forest region, after all, and they must have an income (unless you're willing to pay for their expenses). There are cases of environment-friendly, sustained economic exploitation of the forest.
I hate the fact other people can't see is not just Brazil's fault. American, Euro and Asian Compamies plays major role in this crap, buyin wood. Is true, I hate it but is true !
