Each year, loggers turn an area the size of Switzerland into desert, destroying the habitat not only of the wildlife, but also of the indigenous people who have lived in the rainforest for centuries, pushing them all on the brink of extinction. This raid by the Brazilian Police is too little, too late.

I disagree with radicalGod. There should be legalized commercial activities in the forest, as long as they are closely foreseen. There are people who live in the forest region, after all, and they must have an income (unless you're willing to pay for their expenses). There are cases of environment-friendly, sustained economic exploitation of the forest.

@ecfeitosa Yes!! In Canada, The Chinese have bought the Biggest forestry Companies,,The Chinese need the Lumber,,there's over a Billion Chinese in the World..something needs to change,maybe building Homes ,with other Material or ReCycled Lumber!!
