  • They're a gay bunch 'a lads to be shuure, [can some one tell em why they wearing dresses??] LOL

  • @urkyle11 First off, there is nothing wrong with gay people. Second of all, they are called kilts, because the last person that called them a dress got kilt!

  • Looking forward to the archaeological dig at Culloden, Going to hit the 'Grave of the English' and find out exaclty how these gents fared in 1746, hopefully get a cairn for them too. The '45/6 was a civil war, let us remember it as such.

  • this was a 10 until i heard the synth keyboard, sounds cheap.. substitute for a piano and its a 10 all friggin day long!

  • well since so many want to claim their birthplace I am from the hills of East Tennessee, southeastern United States where a HUGE portion of the population claim Scots-Irish descent. our people took this music and evolved into Bluegrass. it's all good

  • I'm Hispanic (Mexican decent) and I've figured out why I take to this song so well... Irish and Mexican people have a lot in common.. (always chasing/getting screwed over by women - always drinking during/long after it happens... always getting into fights because of it - always writing songs about it) - At least according the songs we hear from both... and I just love the story-telling in Irish folk music.

  • @metalmonkey88 ¿Hispanic? the only hispanic are te people from Iberian peninsula in Europe. You are american or amerindian, not "hispanic"

  • @Kentaber actually.. Hispanic means of or relating to Spain or Spanish-speaking countries, especially those of Latin America. And that's a straight up definition. Yes, I am a citizen of the United States (making me "American"), but I am also Hispanic. It's not rocket science.

  • This track is by Wolfstone, and it's called "Erin" from the album "Unleashed". Just making a note here in case anyone is wondering.

  • great tune, still gives me goosebumps, makes me want to practice fiddle more often

  • A montage of Seven Nations (one pic!) set to Wolfstone... why?!!

  • Who gives a fuck where you all come from, shut it and enjoy the fucking music. Christ sake you'd think you were all born pansies with the fucking bickering. I am trying to enjoy my youtube experience and all I see is a bunch of half hearts and whiners. Shut the fuck up. Nuf said. And I might be Irish and Cree but I am Canadian first. Be proud of that!

  • @gussguss111 Irish and canadian - you have 2 awesome fiddle traditions you can lay claim to!

  • I'm English (sorry) this is marvelous music - this band really know how to get the best performance . Perfect!

  • Nice music, but it needs to be harder

  • For the army ask to the white stripes

  • I come from the Powell family and they come from a long line of people from Wales. I am also Irish, Native American, Jewish, and French but my last name and majority of my family come from Wales and I love Celtic traditional music.

  • @USAdude30 good luck with your research :)

  • @USAdude30 im pretty sure they were from the highlands because they were still catholic and the highlands were the part of scotland that held on to catholicism the longest but not sure exactly where from ireland i am not sure where im 2nd generation so i should probably have known this :P but i will research it

  • @USAdude30 i havent gotten there yet i was born in america but all my family is from there. I have already told them i am moving there after college but i think in 2 years my dad is taking me there to see it! it looks really beautiful from what i have seen (yeah i know about the embarrasing americans i was born there :| )

  • A couple things, if I may...

Is that Wolfstone in the pic? I don't see Chisholm's ugly mug up there.

Also, this is a set named 'Erin'. It contains the following 4 tunes: The Coast of Austria, Toss the Feathers, Farewell to Erin and Captain Lachlan MacPhail of Tiree. One of their best sets, to my ear.

Be well, all! Alba gu bragh!

  • @USAdude30 no i mean the yanks tat are being rude bout scotland sry to the good americans alot of americans make the whole look bad

  • scotch/irish and proud of it!! back off ya yanks

  • Nice kilts! No really, they look badass!

  • @Gallowglasses777 They're called kilts.

  • @Dakarne EXACTLY! WHOEVER TALKS SHIT ABOUT SCOTLAND NEEDS TO GO GET SHANKED!!!!

  • @Dakarne Aye and they're sexy as hell.

  • @Dakarne

Actually, they really are skirts. REAL kilts were much like Roman togas.

  • @SpartanPict See the Roman Togas??(that's actually funny) they were called Plaids for info Tartan is the check pattern on the weave a plaid was like a blanket one piece that was wrapped round and held with a belt or just a pleated tuck.an early form of Kilt, the guys here Are wearing more modern Kilts. The modern Plaid is worn over the shoulder accompanying the kilt and often Prince Charlie Jackets.
