  • I agree but I think we all should start driving smaller cars to stop this from happening because big cars are very rarely needed, most cars big and small only usually carry one person.

  • thumbs up for smart car softball pitch at 2:28?

  • 1:49.

the dummy getts partially put under the other car.

  • so size does matter...

  • The end the mini car just literally flew across the arena lol

  • It comes down to one thing money how safe do you wont to be.I DO NOT DRIVE SMALL CARS THEY ARE I CALL DEAF TRAPS

  • spend millions of dollars and waste perfectly good cars to tell us that smaller cars perform poorly in a crash test. hmm i'm no scientist but i could of told you that.

  • Being more crash worthy DOES NOT MEAN "SAFER"!

A heavier car has a much further braking distance and is less maneuverable.

Which means a big car is more likely to get into a crash in the first place.

    Which would you prefer?

    Survive a crash?

    Or avoid the crash altogether?

  • @DavidCraigHiser Big flaw that that statement...most mini and micro cars are outhandled by midsize luxury cars. The yaris, for example, can't move is quickly or as preciesly as a 335i or a C350.

  • i wounder how one of those cars would do against my 1975 lincoln continental mark 4

  • @legomanv16: You would be worse off, due to the lack of sophisticated crumple zones, reinforcement, and safety devices like airbags in a Lincoln Mk IV. Furthermore, a Mk IV is far more likely to get into a crash due to its excessive size and weight, poor maneuverability, lack of ABS or other driver aids, and lack of steering feel, and possible corrosion. Old Detroit cars are NOT safe.

I'd rather take my chances with a compact than add another two ton hybrid pig to the roads.

  • Toyota, Ford, Lexus and Honda rocks :D

although there is recall for toyota i still luv em d=

  • Ok lets only allow small cars to crash with small cars, and big ones with big ones! Problem Solved!!!

As long as I can afford my SUV MPGs

    I'll drive my SUV

  • Of course

  • i think little cars do fine in crash tests but only until they hit a bigger car

  • no duh

  • So wait...bigger cars are safer than smaller cars? You learn something new everyday!

  • It was supposed to be the shape of the car (egg shaped) that was supposed to make it safe. If you ever seens eggs holding up heavy books you would know.

This is shitty though that this happened. Although maybe this particular car was just poorly made, the bad one of the bunch. After all they do testing to find badly made cars.

  • Safety is all we've been hearing for the past 10 years, and now that all vehicles are so much safer (My F-150 has been a 5* since 2004) And safety is stilll not my problem.

  • I think we should all drive semi trucks.

  • Wonder how one would do against my F-250?

  • it's a ford so there probably won't be much left of your truck.

  • @BDBWTE

I wonder how your f250 would do against my Peterbuilt 388? Its all relative you moron.

  • No shit. If everyone buy lighter cars then we don't have this problem.
