@HalDanGhor Bro, I used to dodge his spin move by pressing down twice to duck away. I thought that pressing left wouldn't work since his swing was really wide. haha. And wtf? at 0:42 he only spun once and then you were able to counter him?
@warrkrymez Yeap! Of course, at 0:42, it's a one-spin punch. He does that here and there, but the multi-spin punches will ALWAYS come right after Super Macho Man got knocked down. It's just the way it is. ;)

1:35 a combo like this, ending in a KO punch should definitely be an instant KO. Loved this game, but that's where I think they improved with Super Punch-Out. a really good combo in SPO could result in an instant KO.

I noticed that at 1:32 as Macho reeled back for his super spin punch combo, he flashed as well. Do you know the significance of that flash?

The only flash I work with is the one that Great Tiger does, like in the first minute of the fight. I use the flash of his magical hat to time my punches in order to beat him quickly. ;)

@kadel300 You can press "Select" only once per fight between rounds to replenish some health. When you do that, you'll notice that Little Mac's trainer arm will hit Mac's shoulder faster, so it means that you did it. Do it before some tough fights like this one, and Mac's health will decrease by half. ;)
@libertylives2 You can try to do it more than once, but it'll work only once per fight. The proof of it is that when it works, you'll see Doc hitting Mac's shoulder much faster with his arm when you do it... ;)

Mike Tyson's punch and punchout for the nes are alot easier to beat than Super punchout for the Snes and the arcade versions of Punchout and super punchout.

@vgman88 I did. Sometimes, according to the timing when we take advantage of this time to get Stars from him, he occasionally skips the shake, so we gotta be aware of his one-spin punch, because it's coming anyway. ;)
@The830pm It's more of a trick than a cheat. It will decrease health by half only at the beginning of specific fights. It's not random. For example, it'll never work against Glass Joe but will always work against Super Macho Man...

Also, BEFORE his ONE SPIN PUNCH, it is possible that, SOMETIMES, we can get him with Uppercuts. Also, BEFORE his MULTIPLE SPIN PUNCHES, it is possible that SOMETIMES, he won't dodge them. You understand?

There will always be some people who don't know enough about the game who will say that the Uppercut or Star techniques are fake, but, believe me, everything in all my vidsosewas done legit. @silver101able@silver101able Did the "Select" button trick before the fight. We usually do it to restore energy between rounds... It only works once per fight though. For the big fights, when using it before the fight begins, it will decrease your energy by half. ;)

Refer to KingdomHeart (YouTube player) if you don't trust me. Listen to his vids and tricks. And then, please, just tell me you were wrong. ;)

He waited for long before hitting Don to get a Star. I knew that waiting would help getting stars against some boxers, but never that much and with that accuracy. I did Flamenco in 15 seconds too to at least test it and do it myself, so I know it's legit. But yes, I can understand your reaction. Lots of cheaters here.

@The830pm It's more of a trick than a cheat. It will decrease health by half only at the beginning of specific fights. It's not random. For example, it'll never work against Glass Joe but will always work against Super Macho Man...

@deezyfosheezy127 Wrong. Yes, he'll dodge them all after 1 or 2, EXCEPT after the big combination of punches we can land on him after his spin punches. Also, BEFORE his ONE SPIN PUNCH, it is possible that, SOMETIMES, we can get him with Uppercuts. Also, BEFORE his MULTIPLE SPIN PUNCHES, it is possible that SOMETIMES, he won't dodge them. You understand?

There will always be some people who don't know enough about the game who will say that the Uppercut or Star techniques are fake, but, believe me, everything in all my vidsosewas done legit. I am so used of using those techniques that I would have never thought that some people would argue about them... :S

@silver101able @silver101able Did the "Select" button trick before the fight. We usually do it to restore energy between rounds... It only works once per fight though. For the big fights, when using it before the fight begins, it will decrease your energy by half. ;)

@whaduzitmatr @whaduzitmatr No cheat in there. Learn about the game dude! If you wait a little to punch after you avoid punches, the delay will help you get stars. DO IT! You can do it! I am not a liar. I am just a good punch out player, and there are lots of people who do lots better than I do. They would 100% agree that what I do is legit. Refer to KingdomHeart (YouTube player) if you don't trust me. Listen to his vids and tricks. And then, please, just tell me you were wrong. ;)

@HalDanGhor I believe you, I haven't played the game in many years so I didn't know that waiting helps get the stars. I am not going to deny now that you are playing legit because other videos I have seen earn stars quickly too.

@whaduzitmatr Makes me remember about my Don Flamenco (1st) time of 34 seconds. I thought for long that it couldn't be beaten. However, a guy did it in 15 seconds. He waited for long before hitting Don to get a Star. I knew that waiting would help getting stars against some boxers, but never that much and with that accuracy. I did Flamenco in 15 seconds too to at least test it and do it myself, so I know it's legit. But yes, I can understand your reaction. Lots of cheaters here.

If you press down twice you can duck. I always used to think you had to do that to dodge his spin until I tried dodging to the side. Was just a useless feature. :(
