Bush's polls were in August about where Obama's were in August. The reason Bush's approval jumped was only because of 9/11.

these banks took TARP funds then gave the money to bonuses buying other banks and used it to speculate on derivatives ..then they took FDIC money and paid the TARP loans off ..raised fees and interest rates on customers cuts interest rates paid to depositors all the money they got was interest free ..now auto loans personal loans are all higher but savings interest rates are lower near nothing

If only it were that simple! It's very easy to criticize other people when you're not sitting in their chair. I also aggree that banks should be more regulated, since they are the backbone of society, but it's impossible to change this with a snap of the fingers.
A leader needs to compromise and work together with them so that they come to aggreements. I'm also sure that the banks have a lot of influence and that even the president needs to be careful of what he says against them.
