well acording to moore's law, computer power doubles every 18 months. so the 360 came out in 2005 and the next gen xbox is supposed to come out in 2013. Now if according to moore's law the next gen xbox should be around 32x more powerfull than the 360. that is if i did the math correctly in my head.

@18T220 Not true, because if current xbox is capable of runing games like skyrim and rage with not that much difference from pc version, then x720 will be capable of graphics like in 3d mark 11. GPU on pc is a bit different than gpu in console. It's about optimizations. Think about that.WiiU is a bit different , it uses some gpu capable of dx10, radeon 6670 is capable of tesselations and other dx11 features. PC is about brute force, consoles about optimizations.

The 360 runs Skyrim & Rage at 720p if the 720 run these games at 1080p that will require about 30% more power alone and add some x4 anti aliasing in to the mix that will need about 70% more power.
360 to 720 won't be as big a jump in graphics as Xbox 1 - 360.

@swagking913 No it isn't. The Wii U's GPU was released somewhere in 08 and it supports up to DX10, it will likely be something similar to the Radeon HD 4550 model. The 720s GPU was released in 2010 and supports DX11 3D, probably something like the Radeon HD 6790. If this is true then the 720's GPU is quite better.

Tbh, I have grown out of consoles. Its Pc for me all the way. Im not a fanboy, I miss consoles and physical cd games. But they just dont keep up with Pc's period. I love graphics, helps immerse me 100x more than seeing all these jaggies on my char. First time playing BF3 was on my xbox, I rented it. It was not a good experience coming from my PC. After buying it online, I couldnt get away from it. Maybe if Xbox alows K&M or Crossfire upgrade id think about it, but as it looks the card is meh.

nice video but i think is to soon ,xbox is doing very goodd here in America xboxlive is #1 when it comes down to online gaming . My opinion is that next year maybe a good year for the release of the next gen console. And i agree blu-ray i think will be a plus for some people. I have all tree consoles but i don't use my ps3 to play blu-ray i have a blu-ray player .

Tbh, I have grown out of consoles. Its Pc for me all the way. Im not a fanboy, I miss consoles and physical cd games. But they just dont keep up with Pc's period. I love graphics, helps immerse me 100x more than seeing all these jaggies on my char. First time playing BF3 was on my xbox, I rented it. It was not a good experience coming from my PC. After buying it online, I couldnt get away from it. Maybe if Xbox alows K&M or Crossfire upgrade id think about it, but as it looks the card is meh.

Come on Microsooft sort yourselfs out get something amazing in that new console i mean they have only just released 8 core Processor's for computers which are 3.6GHz unclocked aswell and then you have got the new AMD Radeon graphics card which is 400 pounds just for one. Even tho the PS3 uses an 8 core Processor its locked so only uses 7 and only 3.2GHz. But end of the day you know for a fact Sony will put something powerful in there new console.

So it's a POS compared to a the PC I built in 2010 oh how disappointing I was hoping for so much more. Sure it's cheaper but if they went more expensive they could have used it for a longer period & did more with it sooner so we don't have to have a XBOX720+ as soon.
I guess what I'm saying is a more powerful system could have more longevity. I'm not saying HD7970 but how about HD6950? Provides alot more performance then the HD6670 there using & still only 1/2 the cost of the HD7970.
