Oh wow these were the days! None of these delta heavies land in CVG anymore except for the 767-300Er's and 767-400's which are used as DAL flight 44 and 45 to and from CDG. The economy is hitting hard. (Sad face).
@trepo757 a few weeks ago, my friend went down there really early in the morning on a saturday and saw an md-11 land and he said it took off at 9:30am?
@trepo757 i go there a lot!!!!!!! the commercial part has gone WWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY downhill but the cargo part is movin uphill big time!!!!! Dhl started construction last month on 19 acres of land for the parking of 9 new wide bodied aircraft. and the cargo is the part that has all the big planes and all the ones that delta no longer uses. except for 737's, 767's, and 747's of course!!!!!
I can't believe how Delta is ruining CVG. it used to be so busy. My friends visited the control tower and TRACON and they said it was just said how slow it was. It will never be the same.
@deltafan909 true cincinnati is a dying city now. i was born here, now going to UC. When I graduate next year I'm planning on moving to New York City or somewhere closer. Never thought i'd say it, this place used to be so much better than it is now. I also hate local news, but that's something different.
@buddhika216 I have lived in the city for 15 years. I have also lived in Indianapolis, Atlanta, Detroit, San Francisco, and Montreal, Ontario. It has 10 fortune 500 companies and a steady population since its major decline in the late 20th century. It is a pretty solid area. You want declining, try Detroit.
"I can't believe how Delta is ruining CVG. it used to be so busy."
And you don't "think" (using that term lightly) that market forces might have just a bittttttttttttttt more to do with that, rather than big bad Delta being mean to poor little Cincy?
Delta has now inherited far more powerful midwestern hubs at Detroit and Minneapolis. It has no reason to run anywhere near the same amounts of traffic through CVG as CVG can't generate the comparable revenue to sustain such.

@bluepanther1011 It's the designated viewing area right by the intersection of Donaldson Rd. and Mineola Pike on the east side of the airport.

@beluch1000 I've lived in the city for the past 9 years.... that's good enough time to know where the city is heading.
