I don't quite understand...this can't be when Frank paid Phil to torch the car lot, as I've just watched that episode on another video and it's completely different! That's when the homeless man died inside. So this must be different, does anybody know the context of this clip? It features the same characters but appears to be a different fire...

@P30D Yeah, this was the Car Lot's second arson-attack in early 1996 which was started by Barry Evans (Pat's husband Roy Evans' son). Phil was later saved by the passing Ricky Butcher.:)

@JonorSmith Nah, it isn't David because for one: why dredge it up 15 yrs later,doesn't make sense & 2: digging it all up can open a can of worms for Pat too & he wouldn't put his mother through that, but he might feel different when Pat dies as the only one that could pay for what happened would be Phil, so who knows, he might stir it up when he gets back. There's been talk of Shaon returning so I wonder if she's involved - maybe she found out the truth about Phil's involvement in Dennis' death.

@ardbastard1, No, it was rumors about Sharon's return, so it can't be her. Anyway, why would she wait this long before blackmailing him? She would've done it right away. I believe it's David Wicks who's stalking phil. Phil's stalker will be revealed on Christmas Day, and they're out for revenge.....

@Delboylover1997 I think it'll be more complicated than that. Shirley is the one that will first discover the identity of the stalker & for some reason she doesn't reveal it to Phil, so if it's David Wicks, who she doesn't know, why would she keep it under-wraps? No, it has to be someone closer to home in my opinion. Plus, David really doesn't have the courage to cross Phil to that extent & I don't really think he cares that much either. Christian's back at Xmas too, remember. Hmm...? Who knows.

@ardbastard1, Yeah. I think it really could be anyone, because Phil's made a list of enimes over the years. Phil was also shot on his doorstep in March 2001, and it was a massive who-dunit storyline. Type in 'Phil Mitchell is shot' on the search bar. It was one of the biggest who-dunits Walford had ever seen, even Lorraine Kelly was asking who the cuplrit was. It was revealed that Lisa Fowler, Phil's ex-wife, was the shooter.

@theogz Nah, it all started before Derek showed up & he didn't even want to stay in Walford originally, so why would he have been bothered? Plus, he didn't even know Phil until recently either. Alot of people think it's Derek, but that wouldn't make sense at all. The only possible reason he would've started doing it is because of the Jack & Phil feud, but how would he have known about that when he wasn't around? Max wouldn't have told him, as he didn't know the full extent of it himself.

@theogz. No, I think that's too obvious. It'll be someone that you won't expect, a shocker. Derek's in the centre, and he's a main suspect. I'd be really disappointed if it was him, because anyone could've guessed that. Phil's stalker will apparantely be revealed in Christmas Day's episode. It starts at 9pm on BBC1.

I agree. I think it's David Wicks too, it makes sense. I mean, he'll be out for revenge and he never got on with Phil when he was in Walford. Plus, his last words to Phil were ''One day you will pay''. So, I think you may be right. Phil's stalker will be revealed on Christmas Day 2011.

@7Jamdown I don't see how it can be the homeless man's son (which I doubt he any kids, given he was only around 19 or 20 years old) as only a few people with connections within the Square knew the full truth about the fire. & just to clarify, the people who knew where: Phil, Pat, Frank, Kathy, Roy & David Wicks - so it's highly unlikely that any of the homeless man's family found out the truth.

The car-lot caught fire as agreed but, unknown to Phil and Frank, a homeless man was sleeping in one of the motors, and burnt to death. Frank went to pieces and was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter, but later released due to lack of evidence. .
