I really hope the conservatives clamp down on terrorist groups like greenpeace these ignorant tree hugging douches need commonsense slapped into their brains.
The UK needs more airports so immigrants can flood its borders with cheap chinese counterfeit.
So you've stopped more people flying to Heathrow, well done. Now they fly to Dubai, Paris and Amsterdam instead and get a connection from there! Thank you Greenpeace for not resolving the problem but letting billions of potential revenue go to other countries just when we need it most, your ignorance knows no bounds.
@cheesemaster1000 New statistics were made public today by the air traffic control service, NATS. The cumulative delay time for Heathrow jets waiting to land per day is 55 hours, whilst circling they are delaying 55,800 passengers and wasting (on average) £119,000 of fuel per day. This wasted fuel acquaints to 600 tonnes of extra CO2 emissions per day from Heathrow aircraft. By expanding LHR, you will actually lower CO2 emissions on most flights and lower fare prices!
monolithic domes.com build an underground cistern for water, tunnels to three or four separate areas to live and observe your surroundings. The main dome can be made very very quickly once the foundation has been laid. Using the ECOSHELL form over and over to build other homes so the initial investment can be offset by using the shell to build homes for the homeless, homes for those that have lost homes due to climate change, and also offices for yourselves. And they can be shipped worldwide
Have you even heard of the Boeing 777-300ER/200ER, Boeing 777-200LR, Boeing 747-8, Airbus a380, Airbus a350, Boeing 787, they are all fuel efficient Aircraft's.
Build a very tall tower so as to impede air traffic. Then get a cold war style bunker. Build a radio tower, find heathrow's frequency and interfere. That kind of stuff. And get a biogas digester inside and a gas powered generator and you are done.
But one thing first you have to make sure global warming is true ! thus far not one single problem has occured from this so called global warming, as for me i think global warming is just a big hoax. You're doing things for things you dont know.
@Zevl12 Er, yes it is and yes we do, with a probability of over 95% - the evidence is overwhelming, and recently confirmed by the Royal Society and the Meterological office here in the UK.
Unfortunately the nature of the scientific method means that scientists will never say something is 100% certain, which give a bit of wiggle room to the vested interests who want to carry on their business as usual, and they have the funds to make a big noise about it. Don't believe their hype!
@Zevl12 It seems you have a lot of reading to do. Hurricanes predicted to increase as a result of increasing warm to cold mixtures have increased significantly. Flooding in Bangladesh and Pakistan as result of ocean water volume increases due to expansion from atmospheric water surface heat increases, increased drought in Africa, acidification of corals, water, forests due to elevated co2 levels. co2 is increased primarily due to human activity 1) Fossil fuels 2) Methane from beef
Earth is little more than debris in space and homo-sapien are merely deconstructors setting about their task of clearing the greater body which Earth inhabits. The decline of the enviroment is as it should be nothing is eternal not even a species. So instead of fighting the inevitable start embracing the future because only a species that evolves will survive. What is now, has been tomorrow.
surely you could just build something incredibly tall so they couldn't build the runway because it would get in the way of planes taking off. it's irrelevant now cus it's not happening, but yeah. something tall.
The Con-Dem coalition have cancelled the Heathrow Third Runway plans.
The Greenpeace strategy was a great idea and I reckon it would be wise to stick with it, as you never know what might happen a few years down the line.

I like the idea at @1.54. be careful with how you explain yourself, you cannot "stop" climate change, just mitigate it to an extent. but pretty cool idea - eager to see what happens.
1/3 less fuel? Oh, thank heavens for that! Greenpeace clearly can't have had any idea about them! And if they were deployed across the world tomorrow it might give us, what, another ten years of aviation transport growth? Wow! We're saved!
To celebrate, here's a cracker joke:
Q. What's a less damaging mode of transport than efficient planes?
A. Almost anything except other planes, or burning tyres in your garden for kicks.
I think this joke needs a bit more work. Like blended-wing planes.
can somebody fuck this cunt? jeez, those greenpeace morons really have no life

Here is how it should be.
1. Government should invest in their own State Electricity Plants for cheap electricity for the people.
2. Government should begin building Government Hospitals, Government Schools, and Government Social Service Buildings for people employment.
3. Government should start building houses, financial business centers and recreational parks for the people to live a good life.
